This property is near downtown Placerville (Main and Spring Streets) Although itâs not walkable unless youâre an experienced marathon walker, itâs an easy 8 minute drive. Now for the property. Excellent, friendly staff!!! Every single person I encountered at the front desk was wonderful! When I got to my room #227, the sink in the bathroom was clogged up. I played with the plunger/stopper, but water was just sitting in the sink. Since there was another sink in the coffee area, I didnât care. Strangely the following day. The sink seemed to be draining better. I wish there were more blankets in the room. I expected one in the closet, but nothing. I donât like sleeping with a heater running all night because the room gets very stuffy. I could have called for a blanket request, but I was so tired from the flight that I didnât want to deal with a clogged sink or blanket. When I turned the heater on, the unit blew a bad scent out. I tried switching from heat to the fan mode, but that didnât help either. The bathroom bathtub had VISIBLE long black hairs. At the end of the day, I didnât care because donât nitpick. Im just sharing my review for people who walk in thinking they booked a 5-star hotel.
Positives: Great staff, comfortable bed, great location next to a nice Mexican restaurant and close to historical downtown Placerville, lots of parking and a nice free breakfast in the morning serving both hot and cold options.
