Gulf-View Townhome ·Dog Friendly·Steps to Beach
Twenty steps. That's the distance from Gulf Breeze's front door to the beach walkover at Cape San Blas. Not a short walk, not a quick stroll â twenty steps to some of the most unspoiled Gulf Coast shoreline in Florida. This end-unit townhome in the gated Barrier Dunes community sits in the first row facing the Gulf, and every inch of it is designed to make you feel as close to the water as possible without getting your feet wet inside.

This is the kind of beach house that works beautifully for multigenerational families. The adults each claim a king suite upstairs â both with private ensuite baths and their own balconies â while the kids pile into the loft with three twin beds and their own TV nook. Nobody is fighting over bathroom time, nobody is sleeping on a pull-out in the living room, and everybody wakes up within earshot of the Gulf. Start your mornings with coffee on the main deck, watching the water from the dining table while the gas grill warms up for breakfast. By the time you've eaten, the beach is calling â and it's literally twenty steps away. Spend afternoons in the surf, at the community pool, or settled into the bay window seat with a book from the home's collection. Evenings back on the deck, the sun dropping into the Gulf, your dog stretched out at your feet â this is what Cape San Blas is all about.
The main level is open and airy, with a fully equipped kitchen, breakfast bar with three barstools, a generous dining area, living room with sleeper sofa, a cozy bay window seat, and a half bath. The large beachfront deck with gas grill and dining set is where the group will naturally end up morning, afternoon, and evening.

Everything we needed was there! It was just as listed/described. Very convenient to the beach: literally steps. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back!
Cape San Blas is an amazing beach free from commercialism of other beaches. Beautiful and quiet with the prettiest sunsets Iâve seen. The co do was steps from the beach and close to the grocery/ice cream place in the cape. We are already planning next years stay!
Views!! You will be pleasantly surprised by the wonderful views from both decks. Condo was exactly as pictured. Very clean. Great dishes in kitchen, so close to beach. Would definitely stay again. Property management was extremely helpful with updates on a couple of random events ( not in their control) .
We had a great time. Really enjoyed staying in Gulf Breeze. Would absolutely love it if it were updated. However, would stay there again. All the amenities were nice.
Thank you!
Great place with multiple views of the gulf. Tons of nice people with advice for local fare. Plenty of room for up to 10 people. Weâre planning to return there soon.
My family truly enjoyed every minute of our stay in "Gulf Breeze" on Cape San Blas. I traveled with my husband, two kids (ages 6 and 9), my parents, and our dog. While I thought it would be nice to have tennis and pools available, the weather was so nice and we only used them once or twice. We mostly spent our time on the beach which is beautiful with white sand and pretty water. My parents stayed in Port St. Joe the week before and have consistently noted that Cape San Blas has the pretty sand and water and also has way more shells! We also really enjoyed the turtle pond in Barrier Dunes. Tons of turtles big and tiny come up to say hi. We rented bikes for one day but wish we had them all week because the condos are conveniently located near the State Park and an easy ride to Coneheads where we liked to get Blue Bell ice-cream. We had a fire on the beach twice and loved having our dog with us. Condo was set with everything needed. The kids loved the loft but be prepared to hunch over when up there. Perfect for kids though. The stairs to the loft slightly terrified me only because if kids wake up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom on the floor below then they need to be able to see. We just left the hallway light on for this reason and it was fine. Also the draws aren't great in the rooms but minor con. We saw quite a few snakes while there too! Kinda freaky, kinda cool! We also saw dolphins almost every day, multiple kinds of crabs, and someone caught a 5'5" shark!! This unit is in a perfect spot, you can still see the water and it is a short walk to the beach but you save some $$$ by not being directly on the beach. Beach cart was great for moving chairs from the carport to the beach each day. Carport is tight but we made it work. Also the beach is more crowded because of the condos but did not bother us as everyone is friendly and still beats the crowds typical for beaches like Ft. Myers. If you want to feel secluded then rent a house. Visit Apalachicola if you need a break from the beach, cute town on the water with lots of fun shops and good restaurants. There are a couple restaurants on the Cape but we only ate out twice the entire week! Catching fish on the beach helped : ) All in all a fantastic vacation and would highly recommend!!
