Glorious getaway on Portland's Eastern Promenade.
This first-floor apartment is just steps from beautiful Casco Bay! On a quiet residential street, there is plenty of on-street parking available. There are several wonderful restaurants and cafes right in the neighborhood within walking distance, along with many local breweries, distilleries, and shopping spots. The historical Old Port and Downtown Portland are a fifteen-minute walk or a quick Uber, so park your car and forget about it for a while!
Jennifer was a gracious host, and very helpful with recommendations! It was cold & snowy in January but we would love to spend more time near the water when itâs a bit warmer.
This was a great stay and we are thankful to have been able to stay in a lovely home. It is just a few minutes walk to the waterside view or to a few local shops and restaurants embedded within the neighborhood. The kitchen was stocked with most things that I needed. I communicated with the host and she was very responsive and provided another item I needed in the kitchen. Communication with the host was very easy and prompt. There were plenty of towels/washcloths for the stay and all of what we needed was accommodated. Lots of signs throughout the house that explains how to operate some things, so this was a plus. No issues with the wifi. I was able to attend my class over zoom with no drops during that timeframe. The neighborhood felt extremely safe and neighbors all around seemed friendly. There were some very minors annoyances, but nothing detrimental. The bathroom is on the small side, but manageable. Shower and sink are in good working order. The neighbors upstairs seemed friendly but their steps could be heard as they walked around upstairs. Thankfully it quieted down some in the evening time, so its not a problem when trying to get some sleep. Some amenities had normal but noticeable wear and tear. The TV is very slow to respond to the input from the remote. There is a noticable lag with this. Overall, a great and pleasant stay. I am thankful for the opportunity to experience Portland.
There are really only two beds, one of those being a daybed that has a pullout, and then multiple couches double as mattresses in other living spaces. It worked well for our family. We needed quick use of the dryer and the host responded immediately with the location and instructions. The neighborhood is great, the sunset at the top of the street thatâs a short walk canât be over exaggerated. Only negative is that itâs noisy if there are upstairs guests, but itâs a solid little spot.
Was perfect for our short stay in Portland. Check in and communication couldnât have been easier. Instructions were all clear and itâs a fully stocked apartment. Was great for our family of 5!
A little older charming property. Well appointed. Well equipped kitchen. Comfy rooms and furniture. Washer and dryer was listed in the amenities but did not see it in the unit.
We found this beautifully decorated home absolutely spotless! The furnishings were comfortable & homey. The beds were super comfy! It was very easy to walk to many restaurants & tours from the apartment and parking was plentiful. You wonât be disappointed ⊠we highly recommend
Loved the location, spacious interior, easy to enter with the codes. Parking was never a problem. Dining table was precarious. Once open the sides sloped so much, plates, bowls, cutlery slid down. The television is extremely slow to open or change programs; reception had extreme delay. It was nice to have access to Netflix.Jennifer was great about responding to our messages pre-stay. I would definitely stay here again.
