Hotel Jaguar was a great place to stay during our 2-night visit to Porto. On the outskirts of the main tourist area, it offers excellent value. The room was very clean and comfortable (although on the smaller side for North American "standards" - just to keep in mind), the staff and service were excellent, and the transfer service to the airport and city center are a great plus. If you're looking to save a few $ and stay a bit further out of the city center (although easily walkable and also public transportation nearby), I would absolutely recommend! The welcome drink and plate of fruit + snack are also a nice additional touch :)

Overall, very good. My only concern is that there was a small but very bright light coming from near the door of the room. It is not a ceiling light, it appeared to be part of the light switch controls to the left as you enter the room (Room 407). I could not see how to turn it off, and I had to move all the way to the left side of the bed so the light was less bothersome as I was sleeping. Is this light absolutely necessary? Does it have to be that bright?

Very nice

Hotel is located out of the center of the town which we liked. They had a free shuttle to the center of town when available. The staff was so helpful and friendly. Greeted us at the door, checked us in and then walked us to our room. The only think I can complain about is the WiFi was spotty; we were on the 4th floor and depending on where you stood in the room determined if you got a signal.

Very nice hotel with excellent staff. Very clean and good air conditioning. Convenient off centre location with Metro, supermarket and restaurant/cafes nearby. Breakfast mostly nice although ‘hot food’ was relatively cool. Also, the one evening meal we had at hotel restaurant was mediocre. Would definitely stay here again though.
