Wonderful villa in a beautiful location
Publié le 22 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayMy husband and I, our children (10 & 12), and my parents stayed in the villa for 9 nights in April and had an amazing holiday. The villa itself was spacious, the pool was (naturally) warm, and the location was ideal - secluded, but within 10 minutes walking distance of the marina. During our holiday we swam with the dolphins in Puerto Aventuras, ate at a number of different restaurants in the marina, and went to the Puerto Aventuras beach (which had crystal clear, shallow water). We also left Puerto Aventuras to visit Tulum, Chichen Itza, and Xel Ha. We would highly recommend a holiday in this villa, and are grateful to have found such a gem!

True Gem in Puerto Aventuras

Our host Stephney and property manager Valerie provided us with all the information we need to make our trip a easy memorable one. This property is situated walking distance to many local attractions which was a added bonus. Our maid Myra kept the place clean at all times. One of the best villa.

Beautiful villa and a great vacation
Publié le 21 mars 2023 sur HomeAwayOur family stayed for a week at Casa Sarita and it was one of the most beautiful vacations ever. The house is amazing, with all the room and comfort you can wish for yet it feels so cozy and like home. Having the awesome and private pool for use anytime is great. The secluded backdrop of palm trees makes it look like a beautiful tropical painting. The rooms are spacious and air-conditioned and common areas were so tastefully designed. Big thank you to Mayra for making sure the house was always clean and neat, to Jaime for keeping the pool and premise immaculate and Valerie for always being there for all other needs such as taxi, golf carts and any other info. What a great and friendly crew that made this stay even more pleasant. The location is perfect with short walk to Puerto Aventuras marina, restaurants and the beach. We would love to come back here again, soon!

A Great Getaway
Publié le 5 janv. 2023 sur HomeAwayWe spent Christmas 2022 and New Year's here. The house is lovely, the rooms are large and well furnished. We really enjoyed our time there. The house was very well equipped. The bathroom linens were quite plush like a posh hotel..
Having a maid in the house and a pool/garden man daily was very helpful. They both were unobtrusive; they worked hard and as a result the house was always clean and the pool, pool deck, gardens and courtyard kept clean and the barbeque was cleaned each time we used it.
The property manager checked in with us every few days and was a big help arranging taxis from time to time and providing us with answers to our many questions.
This very safe gated community is ideal if you are just looking for a quiet relaxing holiday, but it is also only a short drive to Playa del Carmen or Tulum if you are looking for more action. It's ideal for having a little of both.

Great house, great staff, some concerns
Publié le 12 mai 2022 sur HomeAwayWe absolutely love Puerto Aventuras, and have been there many times. We stayed in the house next door to this house 2 years ago, and will likely stay in one of the other houses next time. The pool is amazing, the bedrooms and bathrooms are great, and the staff is wonderful. However, there are two things that need to be addressed as soon as possible, at least before we would stay here again.
The most important is security. Many of the locks on the sliding doors and windows do not work, or are very hard to engage. We were told to basically "bar" them with pieces of wood. This isn't an acceptable solution.
The second issue is the internet, which is basically unusable. Other houses and condos in the area have opted for the newer, better internet service available. The owner of this house has not, and even according to the staff it's a problem that is easily solved. People who are renting a house of this caliber need to have good internet. Many of us are trying to work while staying there.
I hope both of these things can be addressed so we can come back! Until they are, we will choose one of the many other options.

Thank you Tait for writing an excellent review of our villa. We are happy you love Puerto Aventuras and certainly hope you keep visiting.
Let me address the two issues you mentioned. Puerto Aventuras is a gated community with a manned gate. Part of why we love this area is that it is so safe. That said, we used to live in a big city and do not take security lightly. We would not have guests in a house where the locks on the windows or doors do not work. They all work. As Mitch, the property manager explained when you called to say the locks did not work, the locks are a little different from the ones you are used to. He showed you how you need to line them up to engage the locks. As an additional safety measure, we have wood to block the sliding doors and windows, for those people who want another layer of security - completely optional.
As far as the internet goes, it has already been addressed. We have high speed fiber optic internet service. You might have noticed the cables being run for high speed all over Puerto. This started over a year ago. Depending on the company you select, different streets and different houses got service at different times. We selected the company that we were with previously and so waited our turn until they got to us. Yes it has been a longer wait, but we are definitely happy with the service this company provides.
