Overall, Selection Riviera Cancún - All Inclusive is a great resort. The staff was excellent and the food was great. The road leading to the resort needs major work. At the time of our visit 09/29/2025 - 10/02/2025, the resort was undergoing renovations. We did not have beach access and at times there were issues with the hot water. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and I would visit this resort again when the renovations are complete.

The resort was under renovation. The website said they had five swimming pools, but there were only three pools that were open and also there was only one swim bar that was open but on Friday when I was there, they did have the other swim bar available. The only reason was because they had more guest that was coming to the resort. Also, they did not have many options available for dining on certain days. They were only maybe two places available to dine some days. There were no buffet restaurants to choose from, the food was very bland. The drinks were very watered down the waiters and the waitresses were very nice. I did not have a chance to explore the beach because the beach had a lot of seaweed and Sargassum on it. The water was very dirty and it had a smell to it, I also saw the workers dumping sand into the ocean. My room was really nice and comfortable, housekeeping cleaned and replenished my room with towels.

First of all, it wasn’t in their website that they are doing renovations, also 1 or 2 restaurants opened instead of 7 that is in their website. Pools are all no open either. Cannot swim in the beach, workers all over the place. The Resort name is so confusing too, I originally found Selection Riviera Cancun but when I was booking for airport transfer, they couldn’t find the so called Resort name. Shuttle agency tried everything to search this place but we go with picture and address. Me and my husband took the chance hoping not to be dropped off in the middle of nowhere. But MTS driver is so knowledgeable and resourceful. We found the Resort. After speaking to a staff that is the new Resort name by Nov. 2025. Figures not in the web site. We’ll, we are already booked so we tried whatever limited amenities they have due to big renovations all over.

We learned that the resort was in transition from one owner to another. When we arrived the lobby was half open but we easily checked in and got to our newly renovated room. Only one pool is open but it was lovely. We enjoyed the restaurants and the staff was super accommodating. Where we were very disappointed was with the fact that for two days we had no hot water and one day we were without electricity for several hours in our room. My major disappointment was the last night at 3am I woke up to water dripping from the ceiling into my bed!!! Staff was apologetic but would not do anything to help as we were checking out at 8:30 that next morning.

Hotel is still under construction and we traveled as a family hoping it would be a good first time experience only one restaurant was open and only one pool was open, no guidance after you check in, we had to pay extra to upgrade room although only 40 guest were in the whole resort we will never return

Fuimos a Celebrar los 15 de Nuestra Niña y la verdad Nos encanto. Todo el staff se encargo de que ella tuviera un exelente cumpleaños. El hotel muy bueno Al Igual todo lo que incluye. A pesar de estar en Remodelacion para el mejoramiento Y Comodidad para nosotros los Huespedes esta muy bueno todo. Todo el equipo De trabajadores saben manejar bien la Situacion para que Eso no Sea Inconveniente Ninguno. La verdad lo recomiendo muchisimo. Saludos a Nuestro amigo Marcelo que es una Excelente Persona. Saludos al resto del equipo. Nos fuimos muy agradecidos y Contentos .

The property was beautiful but undergoing renovations in certain sections. Lots of areas closed off due to construction. However, it did not interfere with our stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent! The drinks were also excellent. Overall, a wonderful time. Would definitely go back.

When I arrived there was only 23 people at the whole resort with only 1 restaurant open per day and the taxi to go any where is $60 USD each way and the Beah is not existent also half the pools were under construction

Food options, Bed comfort, Staff service level and the state of Facilities were all excellent points. The staff were especially wonderful, often going above and beyond. The surrounding beach area was unfortunately very dirty and not suitable for walking or simply lounging in the sun.
