Come where the waves and sea bacon. Puerto Penasco always gets high marks for vacationers looking for something exotic, while still being close to home.

Some of the exceptional outdoor activities include riding the nearby dunes on rental ATV's, taking a sunset cruise, or taking a longer excursion out to Bird Island, home to a colony of Sea Lions (you can actually swim with them).

Renters beware

We have stayed at many resorts on Sandy Beach and this was by far the worst. We were told we would have cleaning services the first 3 days and no one ever cleaned. No new towels or bedding the entire stay. The only thing they did was bring paper towels and toilet paper and when they did they left our unit UNLOCKED every time. Closet doors didn't work in Master unit. No Hot water in Master unit shower our family had ti share one bathroom. Stains everywhere and Direct TV didnt work in Master. I would never recommend this place.

Condo well maintained, clean, and provided all amenities to enjoy a seamless experience. The decor and choice of furniture was conducive to a top hotel experience. The views and proximity to the ocean was awesome!

Sonoran Sea has the most super friendly staff, all of them! This unit is nice and clean, Gorgeous views from the balcony. Restaurant de Ramon is becoming one of our RP favorites. We love this resort because it feels safe, it's not crowded and family friendly.

Love this property. The grounds and pool area very clean and well kept. The restaurant pizza is very good! The condo itself did not have any dish towels. No extra garbage bags. Only I roll of toilet paper and paper towels. Wish these things were more plentiful. The condo itself was very clean. Great balcony. We would definitely stay here again!

Can’t wait to go back

Had a wonderful stay. Everyone working at The Sonoran Sea was extremely friendly. The resort is kept very clean. The unit itself was just as pictured with a view that can’t be beat. The only things missing were garbage bag, dish washing detergent and laundry detergent (which I happened to bring). The food at the on-site restaurant was delicious as was the many restaurants within walking distance.

The condo furniture was very comfortable 
 Mattresses were excellent for bad backs! The 4th floor view was spectacular. The condo had most amenities but was missing salt & pepper, kitchen dish towel, and a few other items. The reason for 3 stars is the water pressure was terrible! Could not wash my hair for 6 days as not enough water pressure (it dribbled) to rinse my longer hair. Because of the water pressure issue, we will not stay here again. It is unfortunate because otherwise it is a nice vacation place.

Clean condo

We had a great two night stay. Condo was very clean and nicely furnished. Great 4th floor view from balcony. No issues except guest bathroom shower was difficult to turn on and off (probably needs to be fixed).

Comfortable Condo with Amazing View

Overall the condo was fine. Of course their were little things that needed attention. In the heat and humidity of August you want the big things addressed and they were. The AC went out the last day we were there. Luis at the front desk assured me if would be fixed or he would move us to another unit for our comfort. Miguel from maintenance diagnosed the problem and had it fixed in no time. The customer service was excellent. The staff at Casago are exceptional and aim to make your getaway the best it can be.

First timers, amazing trip

We had a great time at this property! The condo was super clean, had everything we needed and was in a perfect location! For those who worry about going to Mexico, this was an awesome location and we felt safe the entire time. The weather was beautiful! We will be coming back for sure!

Nice, but

This is the second time we have had a stay at a location that is managed by a large property management company. It will be the last. No clear directions, such has a map or actual street address. No phone number for the check in desk, consequently we had a lot of confusion in finding the location. Nearly two hours.... Secondly, under supply of towels and face cloths. When we asked for additional face cloths we were told that was not allowed. There was no laundry soap so we could wash the linens. Also there were no kitchen towels or cloths. Only a old, funky sponge. No other tools to clean or scrub pots and pans. Only 1 packet of dishwasher soap !? And only one trash bag liner for the kitchen trash....we had to beg for additional bags? No paper towels ...literally no way to clean anything in kitchen. No napkins...just goofy! Also, the owner may be unaware that the heater thermostat is difficult to set to a consistent temperature and the vent in the master bathroom makes a loud rattling noise....so we were unable to run the heat at night. No resources book in the unit, with recommendations for places to shop, eat...etc... we owned two rentals in which we felt it was important to assist our guest who were not familiar with our area. And of course to have available paper goods, extra linens and basic cleaning supplies. Would not stay here again for all these reasons. If anything in the listing would have INFORMED us of what we would need to bring, we would likely return...lesson learned twice now. In the future we have decided we will not rent when a corporation oversees the rental property.

Beach Getaway

The property is great for a family getaway. The views from the large balcony are gorgeous and it is a short walk to the beach. Check-in was a bit difficult and took over thirty minutes. The beds were very comfortable but it was tough to cook with the quality of the pots and pans, and several of the plates and silverware were put in the pantry dirty before we arrived.

Enjoyed our stay

We go to Rocky Point few times a year. This condo had everything we needed. It looks exactly like the pictures. The only issue we had was fridge was set on the lowest setting and it took a couple of people to get it to work as it wasn'tcoolingour food. Overall we enjoyed it especially during this time and would book it again.

The condo and property was perfect! The check in process was a bit frustrating, we were told our room would not be ready until after 4:30, which is past their checkin time. Fortunately, they were able to get it ready.....one person was saying one thing and another person was saying something else! Perhaps, better communication between their staff could have helped that situation better....The condo was clean and comfortable.

We had everything we needed in this condo. The beds were very comfortable, the unit was clean, and the kitchen was well stocked with all the necessary items. The view from the balcony was beautiful, perfect for watching the sunset over the water. We had a great stay!

Summer vacation

The property was a perfect size for our family with teens. Excellent views! Easy to checkin on site and we even booked an adventure onsite to bird island! Aside from the dryer not working, we would recommend staying to family and friends!
