Jacuzzi/hot tub was cold, front desk attendant wasn’t very helpful
However , breakfast was ok. Not included in the price but whatever

I did not like the black mold on the walls of our first floor unit. However, the Guests were so very happy and friendly, and the small town of Mismaloya was rustic and very much Old Mexico. Cool!

Our stay was very nice. The only reason it did not get five stars is because the hotel is quite old and needs a good renovation.

Casa Iguana was an excellent option in Mismaloya. Quiet, relaxed, reasonable priced. Breakfast was also a good option.
Staff was very helpful but let you do things your own way. We visited beaches and places around Vallarta and Mismaloya and relaxed in the late afternoons at the hotel.
For us was the perfect combination.

Hotel is very nice for the price. Good location with the beach walkable in about 5 minutes. Oxxo and pharmacy right next door. Restaurant on site has decent food at reasonable prices. We were fortunate to have the “honeymoon suite” which was well equipped and updated. Lots of hot water. Good housekeeping. Pool a little chilly as it is not heated which is typical outside of the big resorts.

Posted Jan. 30, 2024 on HotelsQuaint, authentic Mexican hotel in the small community of Mismaloya is one of my favorite places to spend a week or two decompressing and relaxing. Please do not come. You will love it and take my spot. Stay home in January so there is room for me. I am a happy solo senior lady that enjoys the safety of small community.

Very ! Nice ! Stay!
Posted Jan. 30, 2024 on HotelsIt was clean , quiet and quaint. Some reviews say the rooms are dank and musty ; our room was not ; very clean and fresh smelling. The young fellow at the front desk was very nice and helpful. A great place to relax :::: by the pool! Or in the courtyard. My stay was very ! good! Thank you Hotel Casa Iguana
