We had an amazing stay and felt incredibly well cared for by everyone. The property is beautiful, with stunning ocean and sunset views. It’s conveniently located near restaurants but still feels peaceful and immersed in nature. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and very nice, and the breakfast was super delicious. Everything was excellent — we would happily come back. Shoutout to Maday for making our stay a 5 star one.

Traveling with my daughter can sometimes be stressful, but Casa Lamia made our trip incredibly special. The ambiance was calm, welcoming, and perfect for both of us to relax and enjoy our time together. The staff were exceptionally kind and patient with my daughter, always smiling and making her feel included. Maday was a gem and took great care of us by organizing tours and activities that were fun, safe, and perfectly suited for us. Everything was seamless, and we felt so well cared for throughout our stay. Casa Lamia created beautiful memories for us, and we can’t wait to come back.

As a female solo traveler, feeling safe and comfortable was my top priority, and Casa Lamia exceeded all expectations. From the very first interaction, the staff made me feel genuinely welcomed and well taken care of. I booked a jacuzzi room and it felt private, peaceful, and immaculately clean—perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The team was always available with great recommendations and thoughtful check-ins, which made me feel secure without ever being intrusive. Casa Lamia is a beautiful place for solo travelers who want comfort, safety, and a touch of luxury.

"We chose Casa Lamia for our honeymoon because we wanted privacy, elegance, and exceptional service—and it delivered on every level. From the moment we arrived, everything felt thoughtfully curated and discreet, allowing us to truly relax and enjoy this special time together. The beach picnic arranged for us was absolutely magical: a stunning setup, incredible food, and the most romantic atmosphere we could have imagined. The team handled every detail flawlessly, making us feel completely taken care of while still respecting our privacy. Casa Lamia gave us memories we’ll cherish forever and set the perfect tone for our honeymoon. Shout out to our amazing hostess Maday. She went above and beyond to make our stay an unforgettable one."

"This is my second time vacationing at Casa Lamia, and I have to say, it gets better with every visit. Not only is the service outstanding, but the food might be some of the best I’ve ever had at any restaurant. The fusion of Caribbean/Latin and Middle Eastern flavors is incredible bold, perfectly balanced, and unforgettable every single time. Add to that the best view in the city, and it’s simply unbeatable. I absolutely love it and will definitely be coming back."

Casa Lamia was the perfect choice for our girls’ trip. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt fun, relaxed, and welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious—every meal felt like a treat and we loved trying different dishes. The staff also gave us amazing tour recommendations, and the catamaran experience they arranged was a highlight of our entire trip. Everything was seamless, memorable, and so well taken care of. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay.

The service at Casa Lamia truly made our stay exceptional. Maday, the manager, is absolutely wonderful—warm, attentive, and always making sure everything runs perfectly. You can tell she genuinely cares about every guest’s experience. The breakfast was another highlight: beautifully prepared, fresh, and delicious every morning. Great concept. I can see the vision. Just doesn’t seem ready for business. Manager was great & the staff tried their best. The price is not inline with the reality, at all! We stayed because we were only staying 2 nights, it was raining and didnt have the energy to start looking for something else!! We should have done our research! I wish I would have read the reviews prior to booking. You live and you learn!

The jacuzzi was broken when we arrived. They didn't offer another room but did give us a free piña colada. The function was partially restored the next day. It required a maintenance person to turn the bubbles on when you wanted them. The water was cold.broken when we arrived.

I really enjoyed my stay at this property for several reasons: The location was perfect, close to everything in Quepos and only a four-minute drive from Manuel Antonio National Park. Breakfast was included each morning, and enjoying it with the ocean view from the front of the property was a great way to start the day. The staff were incredibly pleasant, and both the manager, Andrey, and the owner, Lilia, checked in with me daily on WhatsApp to make sure everything was going well and to see if I needed anything. There’s also a great restaurant next door, Ronny’s Place, which stays open late and was very convenient. The hotel room itself was very nice, and they even offered me a free upgrade when I arrived, though I decided to stay in the family room. There were a few things I didn’t love: The bathroom setup wasn’t the most convenient, because the shower had no door and the floor wasn’t angled properly, so water spread across the entire bathroom after showering. The shower floor also could have been cleaner. And the balcony view I was looking forward to was completely obstructed by a structure built right in front of it. Overall, I genuinely enjoyed my stay and would still recommend this property.

I will preface this review with I went during down season (end of October). There was no signage for the place. I did drive past it in the first time. When I circled back, it took me a second to recognize it because it was nothing like I expected it to look. I was greeted right away and given a welcome drink. For my stay, the worker (totally forgot her name!) was super sweet, attentive and accommodating! She immediately showed me to my room. This property only had two rooms (at least from what I could see or at least on the main floor). My room was just as described. It even had a fridge which was a huge plus! Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to like it as much as I was hoping to. When I arrived, they were doing construction. The host reassured me they would be done in about an hour and they would not be working the next day. The sink in the bathroom leaked, like drip, drip leak. All night. Only the knob on the left of the faucet worked, not the right, and even then, I had to find the sweet spot to get it to turn on and off. The “patio” from my room was something I was most looking forward to. Unfortunately, it’s shared space with the room next door. There is no division between both “patios.” The beautiful views are obstructed by a giant, metal roof constructed out from under the “patio.” The restaurant was also closed so I was unable to try it. The rooms are very close to the street so I was woken up very early by motorcycles and vehicles zooming by.

Unfortunately who reviews. oMG no this place needs major help. It’s so unsanitary: I was scared to even tell the manager or person in charge due to leaving one of there sister properties which was told No no but they have the igloo beach lodge truck parked up in front: the floors the sheets smelled. The bathroom had mold. The faucet one handle is broken. What I have pictures to show. Mind you the iguanas walking on the roof and under all night. Might be nature but they can be removed.

Idea was good when property was initially designed. Right now its in ruins. Absolutely no maintenance. Stink in bathrooms. Ran out of water last day. Free breakfast is a joke. Two stars as owner gave a courtesy replacement room. Owners need to get act together if they want any visitors. I am not sure how there are so many positive reviews.

Something I don't think is clear enough, The rooms are inside a restaurant. We stayed in one of the two rooms inside the building (it looks like there were additional tents on the property). The staff were friendly and helpful, we were provided our welcome drink upon arrival and able to check in early. While the room itself is well decorated and curated, it had a mini fridge and coffee maker, AC and a hanging space for your clothes. There was also no hand towel or floor towel provided for the bathroom and shower, there were no coffee mugs provided for the coffee maker, there was poop out on the netting, the curtains fell out of the wall when we went to close them, half the holes in the shower head just didn't have water. Over all it was clean enough, however the netting (part of the desire to book) was connected to the other rooms netting, as there was a small walkway between the rooms where you could access the netting from the restaurant, making the giant wall of windows slightly less appealling as anyone could walk onto the netting and if you were out there it would not be hard to see into the room beside us and vice versa. The restaurant was pricey compared to some of the other dinner places so we only ate breakfast there which was included. Breakfast portions were smaller compared to everywhere else we had eaten but good, you only have the drink option of drop coffee and its a set menu. Parking got tricky at night as there was only room for maybe 4 or 5 cars.
