Check-in time 3 PM. Couldn't get into a room until after 5. Service in restaurant was very slow. Though on the menu, we couldn't get a martini. No remote control available for AC. They ran out of them.

Wonderful experience
Posted Feb. 25, 2024 on HotelsMy children and I had a lovely stay at Accra Beach Hotel and Spa. We enjoyed the beach and the poolside. We had welcome drinks on arrival and were able to use the facility after check-out, including the hospitality room for showers. It was great money for value! I have stayed at Accra Beach Hotel before and would definitely stay again.

Staff was extremely helpful and friendly, however hallways were very dated and need to be refreshed! Rooms where clean, happy hour has changed and drinks were not as generous as before !

Posted Feb. 19, 2024 on HotelsThe hotel is old and in poor state. The workers were nice but the fact that you could charge nothing to your room was outrageous. You had to put down every day $50 on your credit card if you wanted this facility.
There was a terrible stench emanating from the guest room toilet which we complained about. They sent a supervisor who agreed with us. Then never heard from them again. No offer to change rooms was made to us. Eventually when we called back they said they needed to pour acid down the toilet and had to wait until we were gone. But they could have offered us another room. Just awful.

Ran down and the staff was not friendly at least to me I’m sure people of a different look had a great time. All the beach chairs were being held by a towel with no one in sight the same at the pool. Will not return or recommend. You island people should be ashamed of yourselves. You’re black too you know and not all white people have money. My accent shouldn’t determine my treatment. TF

All in all we were very happy with our stay in an ocean view room with terrace. Good cleaning service. Good location, nice beach, nice pool, close to boardwalk, restaurants and coffee shops, across from a convenient little mall, near a pharmacy and urgent care medical center next door (if needed). Easy free parking for our rental car. We mostly ate out so cannot really comment on the food. We appreciated the option to book a hospitality room for 30 min the afternoon of our departure to allow for shower and change before heading for the airport.
With a few upgrades the hotel could be even better: why not invest in new showerheads and sufficient nice beach sunbeds for all and accord more attention to keeping the beautiful beach clean (removing the seaweed).

Lovely pool and beach area. Walkable to everywhere needed. Hotel is however dated. Our room wasn’t ready but they did upgrade us when it was ready to oceanfront which was very nice.

check in time is meant to be 3pm but we did not get our rooms until 9pm
