Great place to get away

Cozy comfort with care!
Posted May 31, 2024 on HomeAwayWe love the country so this was literally perfect for us. It was spacious for 2 (could accommodate more). It was meticulously cleaned. While the getaway is located on property, Lisa and Tony were hardly seen. But don't let that fool you. If you need anything they are right there to help.
The getaway was cozy and had a homelike quality to it while also boasting the amenities you might find at a hotel and more. There were complimentary drinks and snacks, the hot tub was already warm and ready for use (we've been many places it had to heat up prior to use), there was even a massage chair that worked very well after hiking and a day at the different state parks (it is almost perfectly located central to 3 Turkey Run, Shades, and Racoon lake state parks).
Lisa also had some recommendations in the guide book left for us to view, and without it I would've never had the best steak of my life (you'll have to look in the guide to find it :).
I've stayed in cabins, hotel rooms and suites, rented homes, etc... on my vacations and little getaways with my wife. We both agreed that the Getaway is truly one of the best stays we've had overall.
I can't recommend this place enough. If you're going to be in this area you should definitely cheek this place as a spot to stay. Just hope it isn't when we return because this is where we'll be staying any time we're in the area.

A Relaxing Getaway
Posted May 28, 2024 on HomeAwayMy husband and I stayed here for a weekend to hike Turkey Run and Shades, and our experience was INCREDIBLE! It was so peaceful, relaxing, clean, and beautiful. The hot tub and massage chair were amazing after a long day of hiking, and it was so peaceful listening to the birds in the mornings. We cannot wait to visit again and stay here!

Great Private and quiet place
Posted Apr. 23, 2024 on HomeAwayThe location of this property is excellent for touring the covered bridges in the area. The house is in the country but not too far away from a few towns. Host is wonderful and very responsive. I wouldn't hesitate a minute to stay here again.

Wonderful accommodations

Hot tub retreat
Posted Mar. 8, 2024 on HomeAwayMy daughter and I were looking for a place to stay during our getaway hiking in Turkey Run. One of the "musts" we looked for was a hot tub for relaxing in after our active day. This fit the bill perfectly. The unit was clean, well-stocked and had a nice, updated feel to it. The hot tub was heavenly, and we spent most of our time there! It was very private. Lisa was super friendly, responded to our messages extremely promptly and made us feel that if we needed anything she would be right there. I found the bed and pillows to be a bit uncomfortable, but those are personal preference issues and extremely minor things in my book. Thanks for a great stay!

A MUST stay!!
Posted Feb. 11, 2024 on HomeAwayThis property is so private, so secluded, so beautiful and completely enjoyable!! We couldn’t recommend it more, especially if you’re looking to escape the daily hustle and bustle and enjoy some quiet relaxing time with no interruptions. The owners were easy to work with and so accommodating. We plan to return soon.
