Clean and quiet place

Publié le 21 août 2016 sur Expedia
Pour : clean, quality, quiet.
Contre : perhaps a starter set of salt/pepper and sugar for coffee.
Emplacement : Visit the town of historic Rossland with your family. Lovely shops and outdoor pool. Check out the unique town of Trail as well!
We had a great experience on Red Mountain. The staff was very welcoming when we arrived. The room is of great quality and very clean and new. It is a short drive from Rossland and Trail so we were able to explore both towns with ease. The room is not air conditioned but in the summer, it cools off quite nicely at night. My only recommendation is to make sure you bring salt/pepper and sugar, etc as these are not provided even as a starter.

Red Mountain Eagles Nest Condos

Publié le 11 août 2016 sur Expedia
Pour : The location is perfect if you enjoy mountain biking or skiing. It is also a relatively short and very scenic walk into the town of Rossland.
Contre : Nothing came to mind. The accommodation met all of our needs.
Emplacement : The mountain biking trails and downhill ski runs are in very close proximity to the condo.
We knew we were going to arrive late so we phoned ahead and the staff ensured our late arrival was no problem for us. The effort was greatly appreciated. The accommodation is clean and well supplied. The kitchen is well sized for preparing all meals for a family of four. The accommodation sleeps four: 2 in a bedroom (comfy bed!), the other two would sleep on a pull out in the living room. We did a lot of mountain biking so the location was perfect.

We stayed in the Eagles nest..In order to keep the room cool..we opened a window..at 3:30 AM THE FIREPLACE CAME ON..ON A +28 JuLY DAY..had to call for info on how to shut off pilot lite, turn off fireplace therostat(different one than the room thermostat) etc..and try cool the room again..NObody met us when we arrived on a Fri aft..were met by an envelope stuck in office door w/ our name on it..there is no room key..just a door code..the room is clean, modern, contained one sm.soapbar for 4 days, one tiny shampoo, no coffee..bring your own..especially in the summer(off season)Outdoor lights make it hard to sleep unless the blinds are shut tight..pillow and bed a bit hard..

So sorry you were not completely happy with your stay at Red Mountain Village. I hope we were able to help you with the fire place situation at 2:30 am to make your stay more comfortable. Our condos are all self contained housekeeping units therefore we do not supply anymore than the basic amenities. We hope that you enjoyed your stay in the Kootenays.

Red Mountain Ski Trip

Publié le 17 févr. 2016 sur Expedia
Pour : Everything! It was super and fit all of our needs! No complaints!
Contre : Placemats for the table.
Emplacement : My granddaughter and I went into Rossland for shopping and lunch, but there was not a lot to be offered there for the tourist.
There were three groups of two and one single of us staying in one condo this year. That could have been disastrous with that many, but it proved to be ideal! We were thrilled that we had a ground floor entrance, since last year, we had to climb three flights of stairs carrying our ski equipment up to our rooms. We were bowled over by how spacious this condo was and hope we can have the same one next year (we plan to make this an annual trip!). Having the room and bath on the main floor was perfect for the family with child. All the rest of the groups had their own bedrooms and plenty of beds--in fact, there were two twin beds left over! No one is complaining, but the only thing that would have made the accommodations more perfect would have been to have one more shower, but that would have been over-kill, as we were able to all shower and hit the slopes with the ones we had, no problem. We also loved having the larger hot tub this year. It made it easier to get everyone who wanted to get in, in without being squished! This was a fabulous place! We will be back!

Great condo in village, not slopeside but walkable

Publié le 25 janv. 2016 sur Expedia
High quality condo with radiant heat. Kids enjoyed playing in snow banks and on this edge of the red mtn base area. Great sledding. Staff are great. More than enough room for family of 4. The village with A frames and nestled into forest and snow banks and hills is a classic alpine setting, kids out playing apres ski etc Drawbacks are that it if someone is in unit above you or is walking down balcony in ski boots, you will know it. The concrete infrastructure transmits the sound in a big way. If you have small kids, you will probably need to drive to lodge/lifts to ski, which would mean a place in rossland wouldnt be much less convenient as it is minutes away.
