This pleasant flat with 20m2 of living space is located on the 1st floor of the secure building (no lift) on rue Saint Nicolas in Rouen (Rive Droite). It comprises a fitted and equipped kitchen opening onto the living room and a shower room with separate WC. In the kitchen, you'll be able to prepare your meals just like at home! You'll find a small fridge, a microwave, two hotplates and a Nespresso Magimix coffee machine. You'll find all the basics (plates, water glasses, wine glasses, coffee cups, cutlery, etc.) as well as dishes, salad bowls, etc.

The living room doubles as a bedroom, with a sofa bed and a Smart TV offering easy access to all applications.

In the shower room, which has also been completely renovated, you'll find a washbasin unit, towel rail, shower and washing machine. Separate WCs are located at the entrance to your accommodation.

Bed linen and towels are provided for your convenience. No private parking is available with the accommodation. However, you will be able to park your vehicle in the streets around the accommodation according to the rates in force in the town. The accommodation is managed by the ArchiDuchesse concierge service, which is available 7 days a week from 10am to 12.30pm and from 2pm to 9pm. We thank you for taking care of the accommodation, respecting the premises and the neighbours. A bank imprint will be requested via a secure link in order to finalise your reservation and obtain the access codes to the accommodation.

## Neighborhood

Just a 2-minute walk from Rouen Cathedral, this flat is ideally located in the heart of Rouen Rive Droite city centre! You're a 20-minute walk from the train station, 10 minutes from the quays of Rouen and 10 minutes from the Place du Vieux Marché! You'll find the nearest mini-market less than 150 metres from your accommodation.

The Cathedral district, right in the heart of Rouen, is one of the city's most emblematic and historic districts. Dominated by the majestic Notre-Dame de Rouen Cathedral, this district is an architectural gem and a lively place to live, rich in history, culture and heritage.

The area around the Cathedral is made up of narrow cobbled streets and half-timbered houses, typical of Norman architecture. These houses, some of which date back to the Middle Ages, are often adorned with half-timbering and colourful facades, giving the district a special charm. Rue Saint-Romain, for example, is very popular for its craft and antique shops.

The Place de la Cathédrale is a focal point of the district, offering an uninterrupted view of the building's façade. It often hosts concerts, cultural events and seasonal markets, such as the Christmas market. It is also a starting point for guided tours of the city.

Not far from the cathedral is Rouen's Palais de Justice, another impressive historic building with flamboyant Gothic architecture. This palace is linked to the story of Joan of Arc, who was tried and sentenced in Rouen in 1431. Part of her trial took place in the former archiepiscopal palace, now replaced by the current building.

The district is also rich in museums and galleries. Among the best known is the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Rouen, which houses a large collection of works from the Renaissance to the 20th century, including several by Monet. There is also the Musée Le Secq des Tournelles, dedicated to ancient ironwork, and the Musée de la Céramique, which exhibits Rouen's rich tradition of ceramics.

Today, the Cathedral Quarter is a lively and popular area for tourists and Rouen residents alike. It is home to numerous cafés, restaurants and shops. The pedestrianised, cobbled streets are perfect for a stroll, and there are several terraces where you can stop to admire the view of the cathedral.

In short, Rouen's Cathedral Quarter is a place that combines the charm of the past with the liveliness of the present. It offers a glimpse into the medieval history of Normandy, while at the same time being a dynamic centre of Rouen life.

## Transit

Rouen's Place de la Cathédrale is well served by various means of transport. Here are a few options for getting around from this emblematic square:

1. Public transport
Bus: The square is served by several bus routes in the Astuce network, the public transport network of the Rouen Normandy metropolitan area. Some popular routes passing through or near the Place de la Cathédrale include routes 5, 8, 11 and 20.
TEOR: The TEOR (Transport Est-Ouest Rouennais) lines are exclusive right-of-way bus routes that allow you to get around Rouen more quickly. Lines T1, T2 and T3 pass through nearby stops, such as Théâtre des Arts, located around 5 minutes' walk from Place de la Cathédrale.
Metro: Rouen also has a light metro line (line M), which runs from Boulingrin to Saint-Sever and Technopôle. The nearest metro station to Place de la Cathédrale is Théâtre des Arts.

2. Bike
Cy'clic: Rouen offers a self-service bicycle hire scheme called Cy'clic. You can hire a bike at one of the stations near the Place de la Cathédrale for a short distance. This is a practical way of getting around the city centre quickly and flexibly.
Cycle paths: Rouen has cycle paths for safe cycling, particularly along the Seine or across the city.

3. Taxis and VTCs
Taxis are available in the area around Place de la Cathédrale, and can be booked via standard applications (Uber, Bolt, etc.) or local companies.
Taxi ranks are strategically located, and drivers are familiar with Rouen's historic city centre.

4. Walking
The centre of Rouen is very accessible on foot, and most of the tourist sites are close together. The Place de la Cathédrale is right in the heart of the old town, so walking is often the most pleasant way to get around.

5. Car
Parking: Rouen has several underground and above-ground car parks around the city centre, such as the Place du Vieux-Marché and Palais de Justice car parks. However, it is often more convenient to leave your car in a car park on the outskirts of the city and take public transport to the centre.
Car-sharing: You can also use car-sharing platforms if you need to make a longer journey to or from Rouen.

## Notes

Please note that the building does not have a lift and that the flat is located on the 1st floor. Access may be difficult for people with reduced mobility or those carrying large suitcases.

Arrivals are autonomous for greater flexibility. They start at 4pm and depart no later than 11am.

The accommodation is managed by the ArchiDuchesse concierge service, available 7 days a week (from 10am to 9pm). In the house, all our guests receive household linen, basic necessities for the first day (shampoo, shower gel, hand gel, toilet paper, etc.) as well as a large towel per person, together with tea towels and a bath mat per bathroom. A welcome kit with kitchen bin bag, bathroom bin bag, sponge and dishwasher liquid is provided free of charge on arrival for the duration of your stay.

We are committed to providing a pleasant experience, however, please note that we are not a hotel service. Any mid-stay cleaning, linen/towel freshening, replenishment of essentials or deliveries can be arranged on request at an additional cost. When you confirm your stay, you will receive the ArchiDuchesse tourist booklet, our vouchers with promotional codes for our partners of choice and the arrival instructions for your accommodation.

Remember to look after the property as if it were your own: avoid damage, respect the furniture and leave it clean when you leave. Respect the rules on opening hours and the use of equipment, and respect the peace and quiet of your neighbours. And if you have any concerns, don't hesitate to let us know. Don't forget that parties are strictly forbidden (€250 deducted from the deposit), that the accommodation is entirely non-smoking (€50 deducted from the deposit), that pets are forbidden (€50 deducted from the deposit) unless requested and agreed in advance by us and that any loss, theft or damage will be invoiced at the actual replacement value.
