This was probably a one-off situation that could have been avoided with proper advance notice. In the week leading up to our arrival, we received three notifications asking us to check in and pay for our stay—this was confusing, as I had already paid. Once I replied stating that I would settle any remaining balance at check-in, the notifications stopped. Upon arrival, it was clear the hotel was preparing to host a wedding. As a result, the restaurant—highly rated and one we had been looking forward to—was closed. Unfortunately, there were no appealing dining options nearby. The music from the wedding was extremely loud and continued well past 2 a.m. This was our last night in RĂ©union, and it wasn’t the relaxing evening we had hoped for. The hotel should have informed us in advance about the event and the restaurant closure, so we could have made an informed decision. The owner kindly reached out to us directly to apologize and offered to have a meal prepared, but by then we had already bought some basics at the local grocery store. I'm sure this was an isolated incident and that the hotel is usually quite comfortable, but I felt it was important to share our experience as this could have been avoided.

Nous avons Ă©tĂ© trĂšs déçus par notre sĂ©jour. La chambre ne correspond pas Ă  la description : vue sur un parking et extĂ©rieurs en travaux, loin du cadre annoncĂ©. La propretĂ© laissait Ă  dĂ©sirer (beaucoup de poussiĂšre), et l’isolation est quasi inexistante : on entend tout, rendant le sommeil difficile. Un bruit assourdissant se dĂ©clenche dĂšs que l’eau chaude est utilisĂ©e (douche, robinets), mĂȘme par les voisins. Nous n’avions pas Ă©tĂ© informĂ©s que l’établissement est fermĂ© le dimanche et le lundi (aucun repas, entrĂ©e autonome via un code qu'on reçoit par sms), ce qui aurait influencĂ© notre choix. Nous avions contactĂ© l’hĂŽte Ă  plusieurs reprises sans obtenir la moindre rĂ©ponse : - via hotels.com car l'URL de check-in online nous demandait de payer une nouvelle fois la chambre : aucune rĂ©ponse - pour confirmer notre arrivĂ©e aprĂšs avoir reçu un SMS nous expliquant la marche Ă  suivre (code pour retirer la clĂ© pour ouvrir la chambre) Nous espĂ©rions un peu de relationnel, c’est ratĂ©. Au final, le rapport qualitĂ©-prix n’est pas du tout au rendez-vous, l'annonce ne reflĂšte pas la rĂ©alitĂ© et les prestations ne correspondent pas au standing annoncĂ©.
