On a 2 day stay, no housekeeping was available, the toilet took 2 to 3 attempts to flush. The room had a strong bad odor, I did enjoy the shower though.

The pool was drained and blocked by boxes of crap. The hotel had rolled up carpets, bags of concrete, and random matresses thrown into a room that was padlocked and was supposed to be the bar or restaurant. At check in we decided this was all a sham and left after canceling. If Expedia does not issue us a full refund we will contact the BBB.

We are working on the renovation plan for updating our pool that is the reason we have our pool closed for the time being and just to clarify under the new ownership we never had a bar. We strive to make each stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible for all the guests and even though you had a prepaid booking where the reservation policy states that a full or partial amount will be charged depending on the cancellation period, our staff helped you with a same day cancellation as well. Also just to give you a better idea of the location and our property we are located in downtown St. Joseph, where you will get the beach & an ample number of great bar options at walking distance, at the most pocket-friendly room rate with free breakfast and parking. We hope in the future you will allow us to provide a great experience for you & your family by staying with us. Thank you again for taking your valuable time to share your view. Regards

Older but looked liked renovations were in the works. It was still clean and comfy. Great location and very affordable! Perfect for our needs

Unbeknownst to us, the hotel is under renovations, so the pool wasn’t useable. That was disappointing. But the staff was very nice.
