The motel is older and was what I expected. My brother and had two rooms. My brother’s room (Room 1) was dated and had wood paneling throughout. My room (Room 2) appeared to be updated. The room had all I needed. The room was clean and had a microwave and fridge and separate bedroom and living area. The bathroom was nice too. The bedroom mattress was excellent! The only downside is that it can be quite loud in the rooms at times as the motel is right on the highway.

We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us! Room #1 is one of the remaining theme rooms from the past. The “Mining Room” is a local favourite… This historic 1940-1950 motel has lots of charm, and updates are occurring constantly! Having a roadside vintage motel, sometimes includes some road noise. No office staff available for check in nor during our entire stay. Also, there was a sign on the office door that said there were no vacancies (please note that we had reserved a room via Expedia). Thank goodness, that there was a young man on the premises chopping wood who approached us. He said that he didn’t work for the motel but would contact the manager for us. Chain lock on entry door not a secure or safe type of lock.

Unique decor and feel to the room, quaint, no contact check-in seamless, pet friendly, small town has everything you need for a night or two.

We liked the well equipped kitchen, heater, Epsom salt for the tub, the list of restaurants (especially The Dragonfly Café)
We did not like the key/door knob - seemed to have been forced.
I didn’t like the shower in the tub - nothing to hold on to....
