It was under construction which made access difficult, dust everywhere, pounding hammers at times, manager unhelpful. all she could do was talk about how great the work would be (for the next lodgers). No elevator, access around the back of the place, breakfast upstairs at half normal etc, etc.

I don’t get why this hotel has mixed reviews. I had nothing short of a great experience. The night clerk was probably the kindest and nicest human in existence, and the hotel itself is modern and clean and nice. The only slight bummer was the low water pressure of the shower, but it’s seriously not the end of the world. If I come to SLC again, you’ll find me here.
