I enjoyed my stay at the Berkshire Motel. The motel is always clean and well maintained. I would like to suggest an extra blanket be available in the room for use at night. A safety grab bar in the shower would be useful to prevent any falls while showering. Thank you.

The room was updated and clean. Small. The room had a fridge but no microwave. There are only 4 parking spots if you don’t check in early or on time you can’t park here. I checked in closer to 8 pm and had to park 3 blocks away. Took 20 min to find parking. I asked if they could match the cheaper rate for that night and “that was not possible”. It was the most reasonable priced place to stay in SD but not without the inconvenience of parking for about $30 dollars more I would have been happier somewhere else.

Two days later and I’m battling a kinked neck from the hard bed and pillow. Comforter had a dark print on it so who knows if it was clean or sanitized properly - but the room overall seemed clean. Impossible to sleep due to the air conditioner loudly kicking on and off and cars going by. Not enough parking for the rooms. They say there’s plenty of street parking … sure, if you win the lottery and find a space. At check in there was a glass-like partition for safety. I’ve only seen these in movies. Felt very unwelcoming.
