Friendly staff. Rooms are clean. Hotel is in a great location. If you are coming to The City for a couple nights to eat some good food and have a good time this place is perfect. 15 min walk to North Beach. Easy and safe walk home as well.

Is kind of outdated but was clean, hot water, no a/c, it has a fan, the bed a little uncomfortable but was able to sleep well, it’s in a very good location, near bus stops and cable cars, the pastries and coffee in the mornings are very good, I will stay again !

The location of the property just off union square was great. The hotel itself is in need of refurbishment and whilst the rooms were fairly clean they did smell damp in places.

I loved my stay here! The Grant Hotel is an old building, but it’s been well-maintained. My room had everything I needed and the staff was very kind. I felt very comfortable here and would absolutely stay here again! They also provide free tea & coffee 24/7 and they have pastries available for breakfast in the morning (though it appears none of them are vegan). Thank you for a wonderful stay! (Be warned that the hills near the hotel are quite intense!)

It had a great city view and was in the perfect location. The walking was a bit up and downhill but transportation nearby was very accessible otherwise. It was very close to restaurants and Union Square. The service was wonderful and they offered free pastries every morning 7-10am and free coffee, tea, water, and ice 24 hours. Check in and check out were both straightforward. Overall great stay.

It’s an old building, and amenities are old, water pressure is terrible. The staff were not friendly (not rude just not friendly), and they left bags of towels or linen on the hall way, blocked some access. There’s no security mesh on the window, the window is quite low. Only a wooden bar to stop opening, which looked a bit scary if you travel with kids. Sound proof was terrible! Beds and pillows were terrible! Do not recommend this place

The front desk was very nice and helpful. If you’d like to checkout and leave luggage at the front they will lock it up safely. Parking is the best in the city with the valet being only 35 dollars for 24 hours. I had no issues parking there even with my valuables still in the car. The only complaint I have is that the king sized bed was two twin mattresses put together. Hotel was sufficiently clean. Best deal in San Francisco and would 10/10 recommend for anyone traveling to the city by car. It’s only a few blocks away from Chinatown and Little Italy. We were even able to walk to fisherman’s wharf. Best deal ever!!!

I thought the hotel me and my friend stay at was good. There was a shows playing at the Masonic and was 7 minute walk. So I booked the hotel there. The parking was confusing because we had to check and pay in the front desk. But had to go to the parking lot and back to the hotel to register. But, other than the parking it was good hotel.

My son and I had a wonderful stay. Tourists spots were all accessible and safe . We loved that Mari Japanese down the corner . Staff were so friendly and helpful . Loved the free breakfast ( several varieties of pastries ). Room was clean and cool breeze . Thank You for an awesome hospitality . For sure we will be back again . God bless .
