Casa Tortuga villa is a five bedroom villa with a one bedroom guest house adjacent to the villa, for a total of six bedrooms. The pale pink villa is two stories, with five large arches and 60 foot long verandas on each floor. The upper level has two very large bedrooms with king canopy beds. The beach level has three additional canopy beds, and a large lanai around the pool.

The beach has a giant chess set from Neiman Marcus. The King and Queen in the chess set are three feet tall, which makes the game a lot of fun. Our pool is the largest private pool in Belize, with an eight foot high bronze horse fountain from Versailles. At one end of the pool is a booth for 'in pool' dining. We also have 250 feet of beach front, on the Caribbean Sea. Our beach is the longest of any villa in San Pedro.

The guest house has a king bed in the bedroom and a queen sofa bed in the living room. It also has a jacuzzi tub, and a roof garden, where you can see all over the island.

Our cook and her assistant prepare three delicious meals for our guests each day. We have a breakfast china, a luncheon china, and two different patterns for dinner, which she alternates. Our cook, Maria, also uses linen napkins at all meals, and crystal stemware at dinner. Her meal presentations are truly exceptional, as well as her floral centre pieces for the villa.

Guides will pick you up at our private dock for activities and excursions. On the evening of your arrival, our guide, Carlos, will come over to the villa after dinner, when everyone is together, and tell you about the activities available in the area.

The home was well located, nicely designed and well appointed. We had a chef and helper (Haydee and Evelyn) who did all of the grocery shopping, menu planning (with our help), preparation, setting of tables with a wide variety of place settings and cleanup. They also kept the house clean every day and insured that towels were fresh. It was like staying in a high end hotel. We highly recommend the chef/staff option! Also, during the booking process and leading up to our arrival, the host was extremely responsive to all of our questions and provided many tips including how to navigate duty free for drinks. Given this was our first trip to Belize, it was extremely helpful.

This was the most amazing vacation we've ever had. Our multi-generational family stayed here for 4 nights, and each and every one of us LOVED it. DO NOT miss the opportunity to have Haydee and her staff cook for you. Taking away all the drama of who wants to eat where and which restaurants are really good made this truly a vacation for all of us. Every single one of us LOVED the food. The place was charming and even cooler than it looks in the photos. Haydee and staff were amazing. Carlos helped us out with excursions that were wonderful. We couldn't have had a better time.

The house was very unique which it made it more fun. We loved Haydee and Evelyn who prepared amazing meals! And the homemade pies were incredible!!!! The house was always clean. The location was an easy ride to town. Go to The Hula Bar nearby...so fun!The only negative was the buildup of sargasum that been there awhile, and trash that was in it. It would have been nice if the trash had been picked up.Otherwise, it was a great house!

Casa Tortuga is a gem!!! Peggy was great to work with when we were booking the house. Once we arrived, Haydee and Evelyn were just fantastic. They were so welcoming and helpful every step of the way, and some of the best food we ever had! All 8 of us agreed they made the best food we had on the island. We had an unforgettable stay at Casa Tortuga in San Pedro for my wife’s 60th birthday, and it was truly the perfect place for our family vacation. The house itself is stunning—beautifully decorated inside and out, and located right on the water with breathtaking views.What made our stay even more special was the incredible staff. Haydee and the team went above and beyond to make us feel at home. They prepared delicious meals for us every day, including a special lemon & raspberry cake my wife requested for her birthday, as well as amazing pies on other nights. Every meal was outstanding! On top of that, they kept the house immaculate, ensuring we could fully relax and enjoy our time together.Casa Tortuga provided everything we could have hoped for—luxury, comfort, and an amazing team that made our trip truly memorable. Great place with even better staff

Casa Tortuga is a gem. We had a small group of 8 celebrating my wife's 50th Bday. At the end of 4 days, my friends and I were ready to buy the home and extend the stay. Haydee and here team on site took great care of us. Their service was exceptional and our three meals a days were some of our highlights for our trip.Highly recommend Casa Tortuga, you will have a fantastic getaway.

Great place to stay!

We have been to Belize several times but this was our first staying on the south side. The house was just as advertised. There were 12 of us and we had plenty of room. Haydee and her crew were excellent cooks! Every meal we had that they cooked was outstanding. As we ate breakfast, they were cleaning our rooms. Whatever we wanted (golf carts, massages, etc) Haydee was able to arrange for us. I would definitely stay here again!

What an amazing vacation and experience for the whole family

So many wonderful things to say about this property, the island, and the incredible staff at Casa Tortuga. Peggy was helpful from day 1 in planning and then Haidee and her team made the arrival and each day a great experience! the food was amazing and creative. there was something for everyone. the pool was perfect and the view was breathtaking. we were able to swim easily from the beach. The teens loved the golf cart flexibilty and we found a nearby bar called Toast that was so friendly, we found ourselves there most nights after dinner for a nightcap, darts and conversation. Looking foward to returning. we had age range from 8-77 and everyone said it would be a must do again!

Belize sailing trip

We came into Ambergris Caye to sail for 7 days and wanted to spend a few days chilling before we left. I fell in love with the home online. It lived up to our expectations in every way. We had Haydee and her assistant cook for us, too. The food was excellent; the house was relaxing and close to town. with the carts, travel back and forth was easy. The only issue was Sara: the storm. We had to spend 2 days in Belize City as the storm closed the ports for a couple of days. we were bummed we missed 2 days of the house. The good thing is we now have a reason to return! Thanks to Peggy, the owner, who was in contact with us every moment and very accommodating. She even had Haydee cook a birthday dinner for me one night. We will be back!

Great spot for our family trip.

We were very pleased with the house, staff and recommendations for tours. The lady’s did a terrific job of cooking and satisfying everyone from our 5 year old granddaughter to the adults. Really great cooks and they also did a good job of cleaning. Carlos set up various excursions and our family enjoyed them all. It was a family trip that created some fantastic memories.

Fabulous Family Vacation

Our family had a wonderful time during our week stay at Casa Tortuga. Haydee and crew prepared the most amazing meals each day that made us never want to leave the property. The ladies kept the home clean and inviting and helped us arrange wonderful excursions and massages. We had stayed at Casa Tortuga in 2013 and it was just as amazing as we remembered. Carlos was a wonderful guide arranging snorkeling and a wonderful sunset cruise. He also arranged our group with fabulous dive masters. The kids loved their fishing trip Haydee helped arrange and we cooked the catch for lunch and dinner. It is a great home that suits a large group very well. Thank you Peggy !

Fabulous family vacation!!!

All 8 of us had such an amazing time at the beautiful Casa Tortuga! It absolutely exceeded our expectations! The house is beautiful and the location is ideal! On top of that, Haydee, Claudia and Sonia prepared 3 amazing island inspired meals daily with different china and place settings at each meal. We had no desire to even try another place to dine. The home was spotless and the pool was so inviting. The grounds were meticulously maintained as well. Having the dock on the property made it ideal for charter captains to pick us up for excursions. Haydee was extremely attentive and we never had a need that was not met, from securing golf carts, coordinating the guides, being sensitive to food allergies and being flexible with time! The hostess, Peggy, was so extremely helpful as she gave some fabulous suggestions for excursions as well as a professional photographer. Our family holiday was truly special. It was difficult to end the paradise and go home!

Relaxing Stay in Ambergris Caye

The property was clean and well maintained. The cooks we hired were excellent and very accommodating. Plenty of food was available that satisfied our teenage grandkids. The golf carts we used were in great shape and fueled up when we arrived. The communication around transportation to/from the airport was accurate. We spent time scuba diving and souvenir shopping in San Pedro. If you want a relaxing trip with a nice pool and beach front, this is the place. Because of the approaching hurricane, we didn't get to take advantage of the special trips offered by Carlos to Secret Beach and a picnic or back to the main land for cave diving....next time!

Casa Tortuga made our trip great!

We had an amazing time. Haydee, Sonia, and Claudia made our trip. The property was beautiful. We did all of our tours with Suya Tours. The favorite one was swimming with the manatees. You do need golf carts if you plan to go to town. The little mini mart going left out of the property was a lot cheaper than buying in town. It was a great trip and I hope we can go back again soon!

Casa Tortuga was the perfect location for our large family's vacation! The house and property are beautiful, the rooms are very comfortable, and we had enough space for everyone. We really enjoyed the private pool and sand area, the porch overlooking it all plus the ocean view made our lunches extra special. Haydee, Sonia, and Claudia treated us like royalty, cooking breakfast and dinner for us every day and lunch most days. Their hospitality was first rate - accommodating our requests and making sure we were able to relax in luxury. The meals were so good we did not even consider going out to eat. The partnership with Carlos and his tour company made our excursion booking very easy, and they conveniently picked us up from the dock next door! Access to the town was fine with the golf carts and we had no problem exploring the area. Peggy was such a great host to work with - she made sure that we had everything we needed for our group to enjoy Casa Tortuga and answered our many questions before we got there. Casa Tortuga-a piece of Heaven in Belize

The location of this property is idyllic, the property was immaculate, the help/chef/staff made this one of the best trips ever. No one in our group of 9 had a complaint. The pool was great, and when not in the pool the kids snorkeled in the ocean. The location was safe and off the beaten path. San Pedro was right down the road. Our chefs, can I say enough about our chefs? The adults went out to eat 1 night in total, and while we were eating we all came to the agreement that Haydee and her gals meals blew the restaurant out of the water. Peggy was easy to talk to and had a answer for every question. Belize and Ambergris Caye were everything we imagined they would be and more. The guide (Carlos) was fantastic as was his help staff. The bedrooms and bathrooms were immaculate and the AC was wonderful. I would say we almost had too much fun.

Our first time in Belize was amazing

Our family plans a big vacation almost every year. This year we decided to go to Belize without knowing much about the country or where we should stay. As luck would have it... and a little help from social media... we landed in the right location in San Pedro! Finding the perfect location for 13 people was challenging, however Casa Tortuga was a dream location on the coast side, close to downtown and did I mention it offers cooks who prepare the most amazing meals that you'll not find anywhere on the island! Our family is still talking how wonderful it was having Haydee, Sonya and Miss Claudia. We tried to offer them tickets back to rainy Seattle which they declined. ;) Pro tip... when you arrive set up excursions with Carlos... definitely do the Mayan Ruins and snorkeling catamaran!
