Escaping midwestern winters

We love Chicago but a 3 week break from winter is a requirement. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Santa Barbara and Casa de Sol. The house lived up to its name - there was plenty of sunshine. It is in a great location in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to beaches, downtown, shopping and restaurants. Very relaxing!

Thanks Brenda for everything you did for us.You were an outstanding host.Your home was perfect for us as a couple and very comfortable for us when we had our two grandkids with us for the last 2 weeks.The house was imaculately clean and the back yard was very inviting especially in the afternoon when it stayed perfect and cool on the hot days. The house was located very centrally for our trips into the center of Santa Barbara and also for the beaches in Goleta and it seemed like it was about 10 minutes to anywhere we wanted to go.

Great end of street home, spacious, with a great cozy feel. The gas fireplace was super, creating a great cozy feeling. Loved our stay at Casa del Sol. Tucked away at the end of a cul-de-sac, the mid-century gem of a home was perfect for us. The furnishings were simple and elegant, with a fully equipped kitchen. We enjoyed sitting in the private backyard. Location is central, and easy to get to beautiful beaches and hiking areas. We look forward to returning someday!

The house is a beautiful mid century home in a nice neighborhood. The beds and couches were comfortable, and the backyard was nice for hanging out. Comfy, classic mid-century

We enjoyed our stay. The home is nice and the back yard is amazing. We were a little disappointed that the water feature was empty (for renovation) and hot water was slow. Other than that, great home, nice beds and sheets, fireplace and outside fire pit was fun. The owner left us a bottle of Pinot Noir which was very nice.
