When we checked in, no staff were at the front desk. I had to use a tablet to register myself and even had to reach over the counter to grab a blank plastic room key to scan for myself. It was very odd. The hotels stark decor with red and black looked very unappealing. The room itself looked run down and had things that looked worn out or scuffed in the bathroom. The breakfast area was tiny and uncomfortable, with only a few tables. The food was good but there were very few items to choose from.

There was only one clerk working and he had multiple jobs. One time we needed ice, and it was in the machine that was in a locked area because the clerk was elsewhere. Only had to wait a couple minutes for him to reappear. The breakfast was GREAT. There was a cook making fresh hand-rolled breakfast burritos that tasted great. The lobby had interesting artwork too, and the story of the Coyote was on the wall.

The property has been partially renovated so some details are newer and nice (such as the tile floor in bathroom) and some are still in need of being updated (rest of bathroom) for example. In all, it didn't meet our expectations based on the other reviews and photos shown on website, especially for the $250 nightly price. Our a/c unit did not work and our room smelled like someone spilled a bottle of dish soap in it (perhaps to cover up another smell?). Neeedless to say, we will choose a different property next time we visit.

No Pool or Hot tub

A beautiful property and well kept unfortunately there was no swimming pool or hot tub on premise. I don't know if I would stay here again because I enjoy a swimming pool and hot tub after a long hot day of touring and dining.

The price was good, the staff friendly but unprepared for a plumbing emergency. Toilet at night nearly overflowed and not flushable after that -- no help came to my rescue. Lights in bath are not bright enough to see well. Check-in process was fouled up. (Our room not ready for early check-in which had been approved or regular check in time either -- Had to wait about 45 minutes for room to be ready for new customers (us). Carolyn
