Room 8 smelled like wet dog even though they swear they have a no pet policy. Got up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night and stepped in a cold, wet puddle of what I can only assume was dog urine, in the carpet by the bathroom. I didn't call the hotel manager because it was the middle of the night, I didn't even know if l'd be able to reach anyone and only had a few more hours in the room.
Washed my feet, went back to bed.
In the morning, I couldn't find the manager, I rang the bell, ended up leaving a note. I did see the housekeeper and I told her. A couple of hours later, the manager called and told me they didn't find a wet spot but they were going to call the police to investigate the urine so they could prove there was no dog urine and then they didn't have to refund me. Insane. As if the police don't have actual lives to save. She did admit the room smelled terrible but kept saying she couldn't find the wet spot and kept insisting she was going to call the police to investigate so she didn't have to refund me. Absolutely crazy.
Will never stay here again.
