Be aware that the hotel is not accessible by car or small SUV. You have to park in Minca and take from there a big 4x4 taxi (30 min ride) or a moto taxi (20 min) to reach the hotel.

Endroit paisible. Le nom de réserve naturelle laisse à penser à une vie sauvage abondante. Mais avec les fermes autour, il y a surtout des oiseaux. On ne peut se rendre qu'en 4x4, et même là, vaut mieux être expérimenté. Le personnel est très accueillant et à votre service.

Sierra Nevada the Santa Marta is well know for the variety of birds ,actually is the 2nd place in the word with more variety of birds , our reservation is birds oriented and reforestation.

Perfecto para disfrutar la naturaleza en pareja
Publié le 7 oct. 2023 sur HotelsLa experiencia fue espectacular. La atención del personal fue impecable. Las habitaciones son muy lindas y muy bien decoradas, todas con vistas espectaculares a la montaña o a la cascada. La comida fue muy buena y variada. Sin duda volveremos.

Estimado señor Salomón Es muy apremiante ver el mal review que nos dejó , usted aprobó el cambio de habitación antes de llegar a la reserva , después en el check in usted volvió a estar de acuerdo , la habitación en que usted se alojó , es la mejor habitación después de la king deluxe . Lastimosamente no pudimos complacerlo Seguiremos mejorando cada día .Muchas gracias

The grounds are really beautiful and it was fun watching the peacocks and parrots and visiting the animals in the reserve. Although it’s up in the hills, taking the mototaxi was an adventure in itself and it was a pleasant and non-strenuous walk up from Minca. The staff were pretty friendly and spoke very good English and the Wi-Fi was extremely fast.
As for the downsides, whilst the breakfast was quite nice we found the dinner to be a disappointment and ended up eating a late lunch in Minca town for most of our stay. There are also some serious bug issues in some of the rooms - we were initially put in a room where the doors weren’t properly sealed and it made the night extremely uncomfortable and there were probably 100 bugs the size of my thumb in the room by the morning. The staff were happy to change us to a different room where we had no issues but they did give another guest our room (we chatted to her one morning and she also mentioned the bug issues). They really need to fix this issue and in the meantime block out the room because it was truly disgusting.

Dear guest, we would never deliver the room without intervention, May is the season for bugs and flies, as well as bird reproduction, all the doors are sealed, the bugs remain outside, it is important to emphasize that you lived a Natural reference in the middle of the Colombian jungle, we have wildlife management with organic products and free of pesticides.Muchas gracias y buen viaje!Gerenvia
