Nice, clean room in a quiet, peaceful area. The king bed was great; very comfortable. The queen bed was kind of a mystery; we couldnât figure out if it was supposed to covert somehow, so ended up sleeping on the cushions, which was not so comfortable. This is one of the points where the acuracy of the listing failed, as the pictures showed the bed made up and in a different position in the room. Also, the listing did not show a kitchenette, which was a pleasant surprise, as the listing only showed a coffee maker near one bed and a mini fridge and microwave near the other bed. It would have been nice to have seen some kind of a floor plan layout of the unit in the listing. One of the hinges on the bathroom door needed repair. All in all though, it was a pleasant accommodation in a safe, clean complex with close proximity to Destin. An excellent value for the price.
The bathroom door would not close or stay closed. The door code did not work first time.First call never received a return call. The room came supplied with plenty of tea, sugar, even olive oil packets, but no coffee. Was this an oversight? Or failure on room supplies?I reserved a king/ queen room. The room only had one king bed. I want a refund.
For those who want the nitty gritty:Check-in wasnât as seamless as the app made it seem it would be. The door code they emailed me at check-in didnât work, I had to call and go through several codes with them on the phone, and the code never uploaded to view on the app. As far as cleanliness, everything looked amazing on the surface and I wouldâve given 5 stars had I not experienced seeing the amount of crud that came off of the bottom shower door when I tried to wipe the excess water off. I also called to get them to come and change the batteries in the fire alarm, and they didnât call back despite following the prompts to have someone call back. My main note that I think would make a HUGE improvement, upgrading the shampoo/soap dispenser in the shower to one that has a lock, similar to Moxy hotels. Iâm too paranoid about guests having access to put things into it. All in all, would I personally stay again? Yes, the value, location, appliances, and amount of space for the price couldnât be beat, Iâm not picky about where I stay, and I donât let inconveniences get to me.
Family of four traveling for an overnight spring break getaway. What I liked: property was clean, ideally located, excellent price point, respectful neighbors/fellow travelers. What I disliked: check-in was confusing (the fine print indicated I would need to present a physical credit card to someone on-site, however there is no on-site staff), first code did not work so I had to call for another. Once inside, the room is not as listed on VRBO- it's a king sized bed and a queen sized couch, not a queen sized bed. The VRBO listing seems intentionally deceptive. There was also no washer/dryer or dishwasher as indicated in the listing. The bathroom door would not close in our first room, so we were moved to a second room. The second room did not have the blankets for the queen sized couch, and the smoke alarm was chirping, so we were moved to a third room. The third room was missing the dining table, so we took matters into our own hands and gathered blankets from the first room and took the battery out of the funtioning smoke alarm in the third room and made the most out of the second room. All was well until the battery died in the smoke alarm again around 2:30 in the morning. Luckily, the codes for the unacceptable rooms still worked so we were again able to take care of ourselves using the resources at hand. With better transparency in the listing, clarity regarding check-in, and attention to detail in the rooms, this could be a 5 star stay.
We never received the door entry code. Had to call the property rental service for entry code. The sitting area in the hotel is completely unusable with the very large couch bed thing, the table and chairs is not really functionable, the decor seems hodgepodge, and there was not a coffee maker as seen in property listing photos. The bed was comfortable.
