Welcome to A Sweet Retreat! And what a retreat it is indeed! Touching The Great Smoky Mountains National Park, our adorable 2 BD cabin (sleeps 6) is the ideal headquarters for your romantic get-a-way or family vacation. With spacious rooms, a hot tub, wood-burning fireplace, and national park views, you will never want to leave. The location is also ideal - just a short drive from all the action of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, but far enough away to feel the serenity of the Smokies!

Located just outside of town on the edge of Wears Valley, A Sweet Retreat is a short 10-15 minute drive to all the restaurants, entertainment and action of Pigeon Forge, but still far enough away to actually FEEL the comforting call of the mountains. And talk about mountains! The Great Smoky Mountains National Park lies literally in the back yard, jutting up majestically from the back porch (and private hot tub). And from the front porch, you can gaze through the trees and into Wears Valley in the distance.


 LIVING ROOM ; INDOOR SPACE

This two-level home offers a spacious living area with large stone fireplace located in between the living and dining rooms. With luxuriously rustic décor, plush furniture, large flat screen TVs, and free Wi-Fi, you and your guests will be comfortable and relaxed the minute you arrive to A Sweet Retreat!

Bedroom #1 (Main Level): King guest suite with King bed and full bathroom

Bedroom #2: (Upper Level): Guest bedroom with Queen sized bed and sitting area.

Fully equipped kitchen, dishwasher, full size refrigerator, coffee maker, blender, Crockpot, toaster, grilling utensils, and large wooden family dining table that can comfortably seat 6 guests in dining room.


 OUTDOOR LIVING

Whether you walk out to the front or back decks, you are surrounded by nature and views. In the back, you will find a BBQ grill and secluded hot tub that overlooks The Great Smokies National Park! In the front, you are greeted with chairs to sit back and relax and take in the sights and sounds of Wears Valley.


 GENERAL

Bears are indigenous to the area and are often seen near or on our properties. Please do not leave food or trash outside.

Cabin was in a great location. The kids loved the hot tub. There were several things not really as clean as I would have liked. Linens for sofa bed were not listed in check in info so that would be helpful in the future.

This was our first time to stay in a cabin and it was beyond wonderful. Be aware that the downstairs bedroom and bath are really small while the upstairs is a larger room and bathroom. Our son loved staying upstairs so we let him have the bigger room. I have no complaints the cabin was stocked with everything you needed from kitchen supplies, blankets, and tons of games and puzzles! Absolutely loved the hot tub. I just can't say enough how wonderful our stay was and Justin was so helpful. Thanks again Sweet Retreats!!!

yes, the host was welcoming, the amenities were in good condition. I would have liked someone to have blown the leaves off the porches before we arrived as no one had been to the cabin for over two weeks...as the clocks were not changed from the recent time change. It was ok.

Loved everything about our stay. Cute cabin. We gave the downstairs bedroom to my sister and her husband, and we took the queen upstairs. We especially loved the dining room!! Also had the added feature of a small, 100 pound little black bear on the deck, looking to lick the drip pan from the grill. We all ran for our phones, but he left before we could get a picture. The spa was a lovely addition! It was nice and clean. Thank you!!

We had a fantastic stay at the cabin in Gatlinburg—clean, cozy, and perfectly located for a mountain getaway. Everything worked great except the punch code on the front door, which stopped working mid-stay and caused a bit of a hassle. Also, unless you're into the Slammedenuff scene (think small, fast cars and loud meetups), you might want to avoid this weekend—things get a little chaotic.

Location is close enough to outdoor Smokey Mountain activities as well as all the action of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Loved the small cabin neighborhood where we were able to check in with other vacationers with bear updates. The cabin provided everything we needed except the food we needed. The cabin environment was peaceful inside and out. Everything worked properly and really appreciated the cleanliness.

A great getaway.

My family and I loved our time here. It offered us exactly what we were looking for. It was a great location to enjoy some time in Gatlinburg while offering good access to GSMNP which was the main reason for our stay. Most importantly it offered a quiet retreat after action packed days. Check in, check out, and communication was great throughout the process. If we find ourselves back in the area, we wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

Smokey Mountain Vacation

Upon arriving at the cabin, we were greeted by a cub! He was just so cute and was only curious. The cabin is beautiful and the perfect getaway! Everything was very clean, peaceful, and we enjoyed the hot tub! Thank you for a wonderful cabin!

Family vacation

Me, my husband and two girls (9&12) spent the week in your cabin and we had an amazing time. The girls loved the upstairs bedroom they shared and want to decorate their rooms at home just like it. Loved how we had everything there to make food at the cabin. Out very first day going out to unload we saw our first Bear!!!! Just strolling through the neighborhood lol Second morning we were having breakfast at the kitchen table and watched a mama bear with three bear cubs walking across in front of the cabin. We stayed in our third night grilled out and made smores. While making Smores we had a surprise visit from a bear a younger one who took off with the marshmallows and then hung around on the deck for about an hour. Fourth day we spent the day at Dollywood and had an amazing time that we always do when we stay and go there. Last night there my oldest and me were at the mall shopping while my husband and youngest stayed at the cabin. My youngest was on the front deck bear hunting she wanting Marshmellow (yes she named everyone we saw) to come back. She heard something moving next door and saw an adult bear standing up in the back of the neighbors truck so she ran inside and told her dad he sent me pictures and that one was huge. We overall enjoyed our stay and we have never seen that many bears in one place when visiting and it was my first time seeing bears like that except from Cades Cove. Only complaints we would have is no closet or dresser space in the king bedroom.

Great stay.

The road going up to cabin has no lines on it, is narrow and can be treacherous at night. Drive slowly and you'll be ok. Ivy/ grape vines need cut in parking spot.

Cozy stay!

The cabin was beautiful, the bedroom upstairs was perfect for our oldest, she wanted to stay there forever. The younger ones were so surprised by the pull out couch. The kitchen was equipped with all we needed, and I love that it had a coffee bar. Bathrooms had plenty of towels. Back porch had a hot tub which was clean and directly behind us was the woods. We were thrilled to see a bear early one morning wandering around. Overall it was such a wonderful stay!
