No matter if you're looking for a romantic getaway or a quick weekend away with the family, Lazy Bear Lodge (sleeps 4) is the perfect Smoky Mountain cabin for your vacation.
Located just outside of town on the edge of Wears Valley, Lazy Bear Lodge is a short 10 or 15 minute drive from the action of Pigeon Forge and Sevierville, but still far enough away to actually FEEL the comforting call of the mountains.
And talk about mountains! The cabin is located near the top of a windy road in a quiet little cul de sac. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park lies literally in the back yard, jutting up majestically from the back porch. And from the wooden rocking chairs on the front porch, you can gaze through the trees and into Wears Valley in the distance.
The cabin itself is appointed just as you'd hope and although it's small in size, it's filled with charm. As you walk into the front door, you're greeted by a soaring 15' ceiling. A sleeper sofa and leather chair face a wood burning fireplace, giving the perfect place to get cozy on a chilly night. (Be sure to pick up some wood on the drive in if you want to use it!) The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need - Keurig and a coffee maker, pots, pans, silverware, glasses, blender, crock pot, microwave, iron and board, washer and dryer. Just bring any food you want and you're all set.
The flat screen TV is a Roku and will let you use any of your streaming services. (If you don't have any, just reach out and we can get you set up for your stay) We also have a small library of DVDs that are a good backup in case "nothing is on". There is also an XBOX 360 with two controllers and games in case you need to video game entertainment while at home.
The bedroom features a king bed and extra comfy mattress, which is perfect for getting a great night of sleep. And the bathroom has a Jacuzzi tub and unique waterfall bathtub spout and tree shower head which gives a great country quirky feel.
And be sure to take advantage of the charcoal BBQ grill when you're ready to cook up some tasty dinner as well. Best of all, there are plenty of chairs on both the front and back porches so you can take in nature - the birds chirping in the mornings, the wind rustling through the trees, or maybe a fox or bear walking by (if you're lucky!).
When you're done relaxing in the hills, the entire area is chock full of things to see and do. Head to Great Smoky Mountains National Park for a long hike and your eyes peeled for wildflowers, white-tailed deer and 60+ species of birds that are there year round. If it happens to be rainy, climb into your car and take a drive through the park for glimpses of historic buildings dating back to the 1800s. In either case, pack a picnic lunch and make a day of it!
Dollywood is the beating heart in the area and has something for all ages, whether it be amusement park rides or fun live entertainment. Gatlinburg Golf Course is there if you have a desire to get in a few holes... But most don't know that there is a Harrah's Casino a short drive away in Cherokee, NC. And of course you can ski at Ober in Gatlinburg as well as Cataloochee Ski Area in North Carolina if you want to get some half decent shredding action.
For a couple seeking a relaxing retreat or a small family looking for a getaway, there's no better place than here in the Smoky Mountains. Don't miss out on Lazy Bear Lodge - book your stay today!

Very easy check in and out. The cabin was perfect for us. It was our 2 dogs, my wife and I. The cabin was small but with the high ceilings it didn't feel crowed at all. It was in the perfect location for us. We really enjoyed our stay and will likely check if this cabin is available our next time we visit Tennessee.
The cabin is cute and clean. It is located in a small neighborhood which doesnât provide much privacy, but thatâs ok if you know that going in. The hot tub did not work during our entire stay, and most of the times we messaged the host about it they would send the same AI generated response telling us how to use it, which we tried every time and it still did not work. We immediately suspected there was a leak and after sending two different technicians, they finally confirmed what we knew to be true since our first night there. By that time it was our last day and it was too late to send someone to fix it. However they did offer a refund which I really appreciate. There was also a stink bug infestation and we would often find them on or around the bed. Overall it is a cozy and well maintained cabin, the communication was regular (although very clearly AI generated and not always helpful), and the location is decent. Not amazing but could also be worse.
The cabin was beautiful and very comfortable and was equipped with everything we needed. I absolutely loved watching the snowfall through the large windows during a snowstorm. We brought charcoal and firewood so we could grill and keep warm in the event of a power outage. Other than a little anxiety at driving down snow and ice covered roads to leave everything else was perfect.
The water did not stay hot very long. We had alot of trouble getting into the cabin the first night. Had no service on the hill at the cabin. Had to drive back down three times be fore getting in. But other than that it is a beautiful cabin and we enjoyed our stay and the whole area.
We loved this beautiful cabin! It was clean and cozy with everything we needed. We took some good long hilly walks in the neighborhood with the dogs as hiking trails for them are so limited. Great time and would stay again!!
The cabin was perfect for the two of us. I was so grateful that we were able to bring our service dog. Justin was a fabulous host and was available to help when needed.
Loved the cabin and the neighborhood! The bears were entertaining each day. Close to Smoky Mtn National Park where we picnicked quite a bit with our dog. Very tranquil and relaxing. A very peaceful 2 weeks away from home!! Our host was always available for questions in a timely manner which we appreciated.
The cabin was perfect for our week of hiking GSMNP, and the location ensured quick access to the park. Great touches like labels on all the light switches and plenty of drawers in the bedroom and bathroom made it easy to settle in. Unfortunately, we seemed to have one small issue after another. I had to request the check-in details on our arrival day, then the provided door lock code did not work; utensils were not well thought out (more than 15 spoons but only 2 standard forks); cleaning issues with a smelly microwave and pet accident odors from the living room (not noticeable throughout the cabin); and hot tub water issues resulting in us only being able to use it on one of the three nights we tried. The owners were prompt in replying to our messages about these issues and apologetic. Hopefully they addressed them after our stay.
If youâre looking for the wow factor when comes to a peaceful, middle of nowhere experience with just enough excitement from nature this is the place. The cabin was cozy, clean and well organized. Itâs not too far from local shopping, entertainment, hiking on foot or on horseback. The cabin also has a hot tub which was perfect after a long day of exploring. To top it off we were visited everyday by the local black bears! The host of this property was perfect, Justin ensured we had just the right amount of information every step of the way, from check in to check out and even gave us places we could bring our dog on hikes. If I could rate this as a 10 I would, itâs amazing at worth the trip!
Me and my boyfriend took our dogs here and stayed for four nights. It was great for the dogs, nice little kitchen, and everything was pretty clean!! We seen bears on multiple occasions, which was a cool experience!! If we needed anything they had numbers to call which was helpful. Highly recommend!!
Everything about this property exceeded our expectations. It was clean, it had everything we needed, and the host was excellent. We loved how it was just minutes away from Little River. The location canât be beat. The tree/ waterfall tub was so neat. We loved the hot tub too. Our favorite part about this cabin was the bear activity. We saw them daily. These bears had no fear of people, so you have to be very aware. One surprised us and walked right up while we were grilling. We loved it!
What a cozy, comfortable cabin! It was perfect for one person (enjoying the air conditioning while the rest of the family was tent camping in the Smokies). I loved it. Thanks!
The cabin was as described, however; the couch smelled of pee and was a little overwhelming. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. There was not a lot of yard to walk my dog where he could use the bathroom. It might be nice if that information was listed in the description. Maybe saying only small dogs allowed, might be helpful. Parking is another area of need. For a larger vehicle the parking was tight. We did not use the hottub but could tell it was clean. The cabin is cute and I'm sure you'll have many more couples stay there.
