Budget Hotel close to Airport and Disneyland.

The hotel was undergoing renovation and we almost missed its entrance when we arrived. We managed to catch a taxi along the highway about 50m away from the hotel. The taxi driver happened to fetch a client to Airport and whilst returning en route to City caught us. It took us about 45 minutes to reach Nanjing Road shopping belt. It was July and the sun was burning hot at about 40 degree C. Most people loitered inside the Malls or under shelters. Shopping Malls and eateries like restaurants are aplenty and easy to find. We took a city sightseeing tour bus which charged us about 60 yuan each. It runs 3 routes and you can decide on which tourist spot to visit for 15 minutes at each bus-stop. You can put on a pair of earphones and switch to your language channel to listen to its broadcast. The whole sightseeing tour took us about 80 minutes to complete a chosen route. Returning to hotel was a chore because most taxi drivers are not familiar with its remote location. It took us longer time to reach home by using a goggle map to lead him. Luckily, we left the City early at 5 pm and got back after 6pm before it turned dark and we might lose our way. This is a quiet suburb and not many facilities, sights or activities you can do but perhaps to bunk in early or watch your flat-screened TV in the room till bed-time. Train stations are far off and may take you an hour to reach. Only consolation is the nearby Airport and Disneyland but you better book the transport early.

Good Airport Transfer

This was an adequate airport tranfer hotel and I wouldn't hesitate to use it again. Although, our first impression was a little subdued, it all turned out fine. We arrived in a slightly unsettled state because our taxi driver got completely lost and a 5 minute trip from the airport took 35 minutes with the drive somewhat irrate. Then workman had dug a trench across the entrance to the courtyard which we had to step across with out case. The hotel itself is dated and ready for a refurb but the reception area was clean and the staff polite and friendly. Walking to our 2nd floor room, there was quite a bit if noise with people shouting and TV's is rooms. Once in the room with the door shut, we were quite happy with the cleanliness and facilities. We were also pleased with the free shuttle bus to the airport from the hotel the following day (available throught the Day). Although the general area at first appearance doesn't seem welcoming, there is a large and interesting indoor market a short walk away and a busy shopping street slightly beyond that with decent eateries. (A KFC if you fancy some western food). For the price, this is an excellent choice for an airport hotel. In summery, this

Near the airport, just need 10mins by taxi. Room is clean. Haven't feel so wet when stay in Shanghai's hotel. There have a bolte of water for free. And there is a little shop out of the hotel, convenient for buy some small things.
