The pool was a total bonus. I didnât realize how much I would love having it until I came back each afternoon, sunburned and covered in temple dust. Itâs not a huge pool, but itâs really well-kept, and there were never crowds. I often had it to myself, just floating and cooling off.
The hotel also had a small restaurant where I had breakfast each day â nothing fancy, but good enough: eggs, toast, fruit, Khmer rice porridge, coffee. The staff even packed me something early one morning when I left at 4:30am for Angkor Wat sunrise. Itâs those little touches that made the place stand out.
