The property was nicely decorated and within walking distance of the major attractions in Siena. Not sure if it is an Italian thing, but, the ones we have stayed at don’t provide soap for showering. Only downside, and that is not too important.

Very convenient to the main attractions. Breakfast is served at the bar, so it’s probably cheaper to buy directly than from the B&B

We really like this property but would recommend there should instructions that you need to go up the stairs to the B&B. Overall very good

What a sweet spot in the heart of Siena. Just steps away from the Duomo and wonderful restaurants. Our room was comfortable and quiet with character and a peek view. We were able to store our bags and staff called us a cab for the train station. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Quattro Contoni, Siena, Italy - NEVER AGAIN

On November 25, 2018 we had 2 night stay reservations, round trip Trenitalia train tickets, and tour tickets to visit the Cathedral in Siena, Italy. The trains were on strike and we could not make the trip to Siena. Then I called the hotel directly to advise them of our dilemma and told him we could not travel to Siena today. He was very rude, he laughed out loud at me, while on the phone, when I told him we needed to cancel our reservation. He told me that was impossible, and he laughed out at me again. I asked his name. He told me that was “not important.” I told him I would be filing a “denuncia”. I told him not to laugh at me. He told me I could take a bus. We were at the train station, it was pouring. I did not know how or where to get a bus. Signor “Not Important” hung up on me. For your information, I used one free night to book this reservation for 2 nights at “Quattro Contoni (5202051). I haven’t lost a lot of money, but Quattro Contoni has lost all of my respect for their rude behavior. I will never try to book with this hotel again. I am also very disappointed with the UK. Hotels.Com email that gives me phone numbers without a country code leaving me in the dark as to which UK country I should call.

Madame, when you called me you told me that you want cancel your reservation for free, i answer that is not possible because the policy of Free Cancellation don't allow that, your answer was " ok, so give me your name because now i call the Police", for that you could hear me smile.. all that was a problem with the trains (of which I could not know anything), but to which however I had proposed the alternative solution to take a bus .. What I think has happened is that you went a bit 'panicked because you did not know how to move from and to Chiusi, to end up taking it with me, that instead I was simply helping you, it is normal and spontaneous to smile at the threats of those who do not want to listen to reasons and who mistreats the people who are helping you, excuse a lot but I do not give my name to people who want to damage me unfairly, the next time better turn with the awareness that we are here to help, the version you wrote is not minimally approachable to the reality, but it is only a reshuffled version, just to satisfy your rage..

Do not book this property!! We arrived there no one answers the bell or phone and not even the “emergency” phone number. We found ourselves outside of a run down building with no where to go and no one to help us. After a while we left while trying to find a place to sleep sitting in a middle of a highway. The owner is rude and didn’t even apologize for what has happened. We asked for the property to be removed from the Expedia website. It was that bad!

Easy check-in, comfy bed and quaint room right in the centre of Siena. Excellent pre-arrival care too. A great stay!
