Check-in and communication from the staff was easy and timely. The view and proximity to the beach was as good as advertised. Thereâs a really nice balcony from the living room and bedroom, with an attached fully screened porch with sliding glass doors - good options regardless of the weather. The unit itself was clean upon arrival. On the downside, the unit needs a professional makeover. There is a need for more attention to detail (chipped, mismatched dishes, table, glasses, coasters; rusty knives; the living room table top wasnât attached to the table; non-working outlets; rusty freezer; many mismatched light bulbs; a front door that requires real effort to latch due to poor install; minor missing switch controls; old adhesive anchors still on tile; bath 2 needs recaulking around tub and shower door; older bedding - mattresses were good, bedding was very dated). Overall, itâs so well located for the beach, downtown Siesta Key, and getting off the island on the north and south sides, that some of these issues are tolerable. But for the price and if you are interested in a little more finished and plush accommodations, I think you will be at least a little disappointed. To much DIY work throughout the unit.
