When we first checked we were given a room on the 2nd floor that reeked of smoke so we immediately asked for a different room. The bed pillows definitely need replacing. They were lumpy. I hated that the bathroom light and fan ran on 1 switch. The fan was super loud and annoying. The toilet also seemed to run continuously.

This Place Has Seen Better Days

This place is rough. It's seen better days. The employee who checked us in was also there in the morning, outside smoking. Funny enough, she didn't use the cigarette receptical, but rather placed them on top of the trash can.When you walk from the bed to the shower and step in something sticky on the carpet, it kind of ruins the stay. Then noticed something on the bed skirt. Disgusting. Breakfast tables were filthy, it was not a great stay.

This was a good location for our visit. Room was spacious and bed very comfortable. Could not figure out how to get TV to work. Technician arrived in two minutes and resolved no signal issue. Breakfast was good.

Missing Remote

Our room was freezing cold when we got there. Also noticed the missing remote for the TV. We called the front desk, someone came to our room and gave us a new remote and said it should work. Well it didn't. I went down to the front desk and request a new one or help. The front person asked of the remote lit up I said yes, then asked of the TV was turned on, I said no. "Well the TV is probably unplugged", I said No, the TV is on but the remote does not change the channel or work volume. Front desk person took the remote and changed the battery and asked to try that. I asked if there was a programming code and they said I dont know. Back up to my room and tried the remote, surprise, it didnt work. My husband called down again to let them know. The Owner ended up at our room, looked for the missing remote behind the dresser, then took the non working remote and switched it out for another one. By the time this was all done, I didnt want to watch TV.

There was a cleanliness issue at first. We did not bring it up to the staff as we knew there were no vacancies and we did not want to find somewhere else to stay. The beds were fine and the shower was good. The water was freezing, but a 1 person 10 min shower would have stayed warm. Breakfast was great. Once we told staff about the room, they immediately took down our room number and told us they would call someone right away to take care of the issue. They seemed really sincere. I think it was a one off and would stay again.
