Shearwater Rise- Smith's Beach

The property is located 0.8km, a short stroll to Smith's Beach. It has two storeys and has a large back yard with a native garden that attracts native birds. The house has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 3 toilets. The main bedroom is upstairs and has an ensuite and balcony overlooking the area. The second bedroom has a queen size bed and the third bedroom has 2 sets of bunk beds. There is a shared bathroom between the two downstairs bedrooms. It has a large lounge area downstairs.

The kitchen and main living area are located on the first floor. This living area is complete with a lounge suite, TV, video, DVD player, stereo and dining area. The dining table seats 10 people comfortably. The home has a split system air-conditioned/heater for your comfort both upstairs and downstairs.

The kitchen is fully set up with with crockery, cutlery, gas hotplate, an electric fan forced oven, microwave and a dishwasher. There are a wide selection of condiments and basic cooking needs such as flour, sugar, tea and coffee.

The extensive decking off the lounge room has a gas BBQ available. The home is ideally suited for 2 families who enjoy spending time together, with separate living areas downstairs for kids.

We have a selection of board games to play and books to read, plus wifi for those who like to stream movies.

Locality

Smith's Beach is a popular family surf beach located on Phillip Island. The beach is patrolled by lifeguards over the summer periods and is ideal for surfing, body surfing, and boogie boarding. Great for families.

The Island Surf Shop also organises daily surf lessons if you are interested in trying something new. There are also many beautiful walks around the area.

Smith's beach is only a short drive to the Fairy Penguin Parade, The Nobbies and the Australian Motor Cycle Grand Prix Circuit.

Property

The property has a large back garden which is great for kids to run around in or for that family game of cricket or footy.

There is an external shower where you can quickly clean off after a swim in the surf, and a northerly facing outdoor entertaining area where you can kick back and relax.between the two downstairs bedrooms.

Another Great stay

Been our regular destination for over 5 years our kids have grown up holidaying with their friends at smiths beach and love this house. We feel right at home and the dog loves lounging around the deck and big secure back yard . Big part of how we reset for the year ahead. Easy house to keep clean has everything you need beds are comfy great air con. Neighbours are great and give us a warm welcome every year.. Caroline is great to deal with as well very responsive.

Stoked!

We loved our stay at Smiths Beach. Perfect for two families with young kids - the kids loved being in the bunk room together! Perfect yard for our dogs too, huge and secure. Had everything we needed and close walk to Smiths Beach. Only think we would have loved was an indoor clothes horse for drying clothes when it’s wet outside and also the gas tank under the bbq was empty, but otherwise LOVED it and want to return next year!!!! Thank you :)

Excellent family house for short stay

Really enjoyed our stay !! The house has great homely vibe with loads of facilities. Large space to easily accomodate two families with kids. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at Philip Island. Relaxing backyard, excellent kitchen facilities, barbecue and the outdoor deck are perfect for family fun time. Caroline was super fast in responding to any queries. Strongly recommend !!

Sand surf family and friends

Another fabulous stay at smiths beach. We love this property it suits our needs perfectly. Feels like our home away from home. Been a regular holiday destination for our family for over 5 years . Secure backyard for the dogs, and great teenagers retreat downstairs whilst the adults chill out upstairs. Kitchen is well equipped and it is easy to keep clean. Caroline is great to deal with and responds quickly.

Great place!

We really enjoyed this property for our MotoGP holiday. Fantastic property with all the essentials, accomodating 5 adults with plenty of room to spare. Great kitchen and bbq located on the spacious deck. Only about a 30min walk to the track made it the perfect location. Great memories made here and would love to return to this property again one day. Thanks to Caroline for everything, it was a pleasure dealing with you. Thanks Dane.

Overall everything is ok except the cleanliness. There are spider webs in both bathroom ceiling. And also insect droppings on the ground floor sofa and floor.

Alway fantastic

We love our smith beach holidays at shearwater rise. Been coming here for a few years now , Caroline is a great host and responds quickly to any request. House is perfect for our all male family and their friends 
 and the dog loves it too.. Fully fenced yard keeps her safe. Loved the new downstairs outdoor furniture and fire pit. My kids have pretty much spent their teenage .& young adult life at this house every Xmas for near on 4 years now 
 we have some wonderful memories of lots of bbqs and drinks on the back deck . Low key no fuss house with everything you need which makes it a holiday for me too :-] thanks again Caroline

Perfect for families

I saw an earlier review which said this property was everything that it promised which is absolutely true. We’ll equipped for families with everything you need. Fencing and yard perfect our dog. And position to beach so convenient. The owner was easy to deal with and very responsive. If it wasn’t Christmas (plus it was booked :)) we would have extended our stay. Will be booking another stay next year.

Perfect family beach house!

The double storey house plus lovely garden is perfect for family and friends. It has everything you need, from the waterfall showers to kitchen goodies and comfy couches. Short walk to the beach and it’s within easy reach of everywhere on the island. Highly recommend!

Cosy & inviting

Very nice house in a good location to explore everything Philip Island has to offer. Plenty of bedding and a well stocked pantry made this place a cosy and inviting place to stay. Aircon was even turned on to make the place warm for our arrival. Highly recommend.

The house had everything we could possibly need for a family stay, it was very comfortable and great we could take the dogs. An earlier check in and later check out would have good, given the price.

Perfect for two families with kids

We really enjoyed our it stay here: the house is large, with two separate living areas (one goes strait to the kids), nice balcony with BBQ, good heating for the winter weather, fully equipped kitchen, lots of board games and toys for kids. Easy and prompt communication with the host, special thanks for turning on the air con prior our arrival. Will book again for a longer stay!
