Unwind and relax on the water's edge with Sunset Beach and Pearsons Park right at your doorstep. Dip your toes into the refreshing waters, take a dip, bring your paddle boards and kayaks for an early morning paddle or simply rest under a tree reading your book while you watch the world go by. If you have kids, this is a great place to watch them paddle in the water or kick a ball around the park. If fishing is your thing, then throw in a line (permit required) or head off for an adventurous bush walk or jump in the car and head to one of the pristine patrolled surf beaches at Birubi Beach, Fingal Bay or One Mile Beach.
Around 1km way on a short walk you will find the Marina where you can grab a bite to eat at one of the cafe's or restaurants or enjoy a beautiful meal watching the passing boats and enjoying the scenery. Also a short drive will take you to the Cheeky Dog for a relaxed pub meal or Rick Stein's at Bannisters for fine dining. Close by shops at Salamander Village are located conveniently for all your needs during your stay. Soldiers Point offers a lovely relaxed holiday away from the hustle and bustle and is around a 15 minute drive to Nelson Bay or 10 minutes to the Salamander Bay Square.
