THE SECRET GARDEN

Totally Renovated in 2017 the First Floor of the Lemon Guest House is the perfect Romantic Getaway. Check out the WALK THRU Videos under the Floor Plan Tab. It is the best way to get a feel of the house. Just use your mouse to walk thru. I think you will love it.

You will be greeted by Lovely cool White Marble Floors throughout and popular White Washed Ship Lap walls. It centers on one Large Central Greatroom, Kitchen, Dining area. There is a Leather Queen Sleeper Sofa for extra sleeping and a convenient Half Bath. Plus a New Large Smart TV with Wifi.

The Kitchen is one of a kind. Long story but short version I rescued it from my Tennessee homestead. Over 50 years ago my Father had these made from old Poplar wood he salvaged out of an Elementary school. The trees were extinct even at that time. It was a labor of love but they are beautiful. Hope you enjoy.

The Kitchen features Stainless Appliances. Marble and Handmade Butcher Block Counters. Farm Sink and Subway Tile. And comes fully stocked with all you will need to cook a gourmet meal.

You can dine at a lovely Spa Glass Table or Outdoor in the Garden under a covered Lanai.

The Bedroom is Giant with a King Bed & a Roll-out Single Trundle for "the Little Ones". There is another Smart TV with easy Netflix and YouTube access. Pack N Play also available.

Gorgeous twin Spa Glass doors lead to the Master Bath and a large walk-in closet with room for Pack n Play available upon request. Everything in the Bath is shining Glass and Marble. Marble Vanity with Double Sinks. Marble walls & Floor. Glass Shower with Hand Held Shower Head. I want you to enjoy "pampering" yourself.

My sons favorite is the Blue Nightlight/Bath Fan. One in the Half Bath too. What will they think of next?

A frosted mural door off the Master leads to the Secret Garden. Private. Relaxing. There is a Covered Lanai with outdoor Table and Grill. Both Gas (provided) or Charcoal. Plus a Sofa and Chair.

A Barn door (Also from my Tennessee home) leads from the Kitchen to the private Laundry.

NEED MORE SPACE

The upstairs is also available. Called the Palm View, it is a 3 Bedroom 2 Bath with its own Greatroom, Kitchen and outdoor Grill and seating. You can rent them both under the name Lemon Guesthouse.

PARKING

One designated parking spot in the alley. More space on Lemon Street with a lit paver patio along the Main House leading back to the Guesthouse.

LOCATION

We are located Downtown at 67 1/2 Lemon St only 5 miles to my favorite beach called St Augustine Beach just south of Anastasia Park over the Bridge of Lions. We provide Beach Chairs and Towels + Boogie Boards. Their is lots of parking & public restrooms + amazing Restaurants. There is a great Farmer Market on Wednesdays and in the Summer even FREE Wednesday night outdoor concerts. The sand is perfect for building Sand Castles. The waves are great for Surfing. We provide Boogie Boards or you can rent Surf Boards and take lessons or rent bikes at A Street.

But you will find so much to do Downtown you will probably only go to the Beach the first day. Downtown is a world all its own. Simply Charming. Especially at night with the lights twinkling and the sound of music filling the streets. Thousands come for the Festival of Lights (Mid Nov thru January). Great Restaurants. Great History. Everything was great at the property, the host Linda was wonderful at communicating. Parking at the property was very tight. Cute little apartment for our family of 3, we did only stay for 2 nights and we had no issues. I would only recommend bringing your own coffee and bottled water as there was none. Coffee pot yes but no coffee. We will going back and staying again with this host but a different house as we want to be a bit closer to the historic district.

Lovely place in perfect location

This was a beautiful, clean property that had everything we needed! We loved the covered patio off the bedroom for afternoon naps and eating outside. Easy walk to downtown and most attractions. Easy drive to either beach. Our only issue was with having someone staying upstairs for part of our stay. We did not realize this was downstairs unit and we might have someone staying on the second floor. They had several children in their group and did not go to bed until midnight at least either night. Besides that, it was the perfect place for a getaway.

Wonderful and convenient

Exactly as advertised. This place was extremely updated and clean, very roomy, comfortable bed, washer dryer, large refrigerator and had everything we needed. It is very close to historic downtown and Flagler College. Host has very easy directions and lots of information on the property. Loved the thorough suggestions of what to do in St Augustine too! Very helpful and appreciated all around!

Wonderful Experience

Nice place, but...

This unit was spacious, well equipped, and the location was great. Everything was easily walkable. St Augustine is a busy city and parking is at a premium. The advertised parking was a carport. However, our small rental car did not fit in the carport area- certainly any SUV would not fit. We had to park along the building in an alley which seemed a little chancy. The owner offered to let us park at another property for part of our stay, but we didn't take advantage of that offer since we didn't know the area and it didn't cover our entire stay. We felt better parking in the public parking garage.

Perfect little getaway

We took our dogs for the first time on a trip with us and this place was the perfect size. Very clean and enough room for all of us. Within walking distance to the fort and all the restaurants. We really enjoyed our stay. Linda was a great host.

Great little apartment with private outdoor space

The outside of the building didn't look like anything special when we first pulled up, but the interior has style and was more spacious than it appears from outside. We had no issues with appliances or WiFi. It was so convenient having the washer/dryer and kitchen. Couch and large TV were nice for evening relaxation. There were only the two of us, but the extra half bath is a huge bonus. Well stocked with plenty of towels and toilet paper. We found storage for clothing and such to be adequate despite my tendency to over pack. Bedroom is nice and roomy and we LOVED the bed. We are both tall so the large bed gave us both plenty of space, and the bedding and pillows seemed high quality and were very comfortable. I have stayed in St Augustine four times now and I think the location of this unit was the best I have tried. Neighborhood was mostly residential and very quiet, but an easy walk to plenty of restaurants, shopping, and downtown. I also loved the little private garden area on the side to have coffee in the morning or take a break at the end of the day. That space was a big hit with me! The only thing we were not crazy about was the designated parking space was pretty tight, and our vehicle is not large. Host told us there is an another space we could use. I can't comment on that spot since she told us it was fine to use the spaces designated for the upstairs unit that happened to be vacant. Highly recommend! Perfect for couple.
