This is a great place to stay. We stayed there the night before going to Cumberland island. The people at the desk were kind and helpful. The room was clean and had great character. The bed was comfortable. They had live entertainment on the patio. It was great because they had a good dinner restaurant, served a continental breakfast and we were able to order lunches for the hike! Loved how this hotel had everything.

Absolutely perfect location and stay to visit Cumberland Island! Location is great, rooms were very nice, and the staff was very friendly! Highly recommend the attached restaurant/bar and the band outside on the patio Saturday night was super entertainment. St. Mary's is a great place to visit!

Liked being down by the waterfront that was pretty clean. The restaurant saloon served great food. As expected with a historic hotel, the rooms were small with limited outlets room on the bedside table and no coffee in the room. Lovely porch rocking chairs. Be prepared to lug your suitcases upstairs. Bed was very comfy.

Quaint relaxing stay

Lovely quaint stay in a historic hotel. Beautiful location on the river, in the heart of this tiny town. Room was comfortable and clean, with old fashioned style.

Okay place

Neat historical building, needs a bit of TLC and furnishing replacements. Biggest issue was the noise, our room was adjacent to the bar and there was an ice machine that was constantly being used until 3:00 AM, they would slam the door on it and it made it impossible to sleep.
