The property was very convenient to downtown, the ferry terminal, and the airport. We stayed for only one night after our week in the BVIs so the location was ideal. The property was clean and met our needs. We would stay here again.
We were told by the owner that a taxi would be waiting for us at the airport to take us to the location. It turns out that the "taxi man" was just someone who was supposed to help us find a taxi. We were not told that St. Thomas does not use addresses and so it took us over an hour to get a taxi who knew where to take us. Upon arrival we found buckets collecting rain water which was pouring in through the ceilings in more than one room. There are three bedrooms however one has a glass door with absolutely no privacy, this bedroom is also the hallway to the kitchen and shower making it impossible to have any sense of privacy. One mattress was severely stained with what appeared to be rain water damage causing part of our group to sleep on the couch. In addition to all the physical problems some of us left with mysterious bug bites. All communications with the owners included solicitations for their other business. Finally, the owner is trying to fish for money to "replace" the disgusting mattress that was there when we arrived. Also take note that there is no way to get into the building without walking up 2-3 flights of stairs and is in no way handicap accessible (it was not advertised as such but good to know if traveling with older companions). This could be a nice place with better management and maintenance as the location is good.
