Trailhead Lodge 5107 is a top floor penthouse 1 Bedroom plus Den with amazing views of the Steamboat Ski Resort and Park Range mountains to the south.

This penthouse unit has extra high ceilings and great views of the ski area and park range to the south. The master bedroom is a good size and has direct access into the extra large bathroom. The den bedroom area is on the opposite side of the condo, providing a nice separation of space. The condo was professionally furnished, and the finishes are all top notch. The main room is open concept, so you can spend time together once you're home from your adventure filled days!

An immaculate unit in pristine condition, you'll enjoy vaulted ceilings, comfortable furniture, granite and travertine finishes, stainless steel appliances, as well as high quality linens and terry. The fully equipped kitchen has all you need to whip up a meal, and the in unit washer and dryer allow you to travel light or warm up your ski socks and gloves for a toasty start to the day.

For ski season guests, a quick ride down the elevator and a few steps outside puts you onto the Wildhorse Gondola, which delivers you into the heart of the ski area base, Gondola Square. It does not get much more convenient than this! If you're visiting in the summer, there's still plenty to love about this development.

Constructed in 2009, this development sets a new standard for amenities and facilities. First of all, you'll enjoy central air conditioning, a luxury not found very often in Steamboat Springs. The 3 large hot tubs are grotto style featuring waterfalls and a large firepit. What an amazing way to finish off a day out on the slopes! The heated pool is the largest in Steamboat, with club style men's and women's locker rooms and state of the art fitness center attached. There is also a large game room with multiple HDTVs, Pool Table, and Foos Ball Table.

This is a comfy condo with a strong free wifi signal, a good amount of space, amazing views, high quality everything, and the best part is the price. This condo was perfect for our visit to Steamboat. The gondola is so close - just steps out of the parking garage. The condo is very comfortable and in good condition. The kitchen is well equipped. I love the 12-cup drip coffee machine as I'm not a fan of the pod-machines. The bed is very comfortable and the condo was quiet - no noise from other condos or outside noise.

The host was very accommodating since we booked late and had to pick up the key at the front desk upon arrival. Second year staying at trailhead. Excellent location. Gondola immediately adjacent to the building takes you to the base. Nice amenities including boot room, hot tubs, pool. This particular unit was good. King bed and 2 pull out couches. The pull out mattress in the alcove is thin and springy. The other pull out is more firm and comfortable. Could use a coat rack or more hooks for jackets, helmets etc as well as in the bathroom for towels. Overall great would stay here again.

By strict definition the term penthouse maybe means “on the top floor”. I typically think of it as that but larger and with nicer furnishings and amenities. The place is great but I’d be surprised if it was different from other units. Parking a full size truck in the garage was tight but doable. There’s an ai chatbot that communicates pre stay that was a little frustrating to interact with. Not trying to sound whiny - the place is nice. Outdoor hot tub area was awesome. Well maintained. Easy to get to.

Absolutely beautiful and comfortable. The building is in a great location, especially if you are coming to ski. The chairlift is right next to it. Great ammenities in the building, ideal for families. The indoor parking was great. The unit was super cleaned and comfortable. We really enjoyed all the open space, and the outstanding balcony. Supermarkets and shops are closed by, and about an 8 minutes drive to downtown.

There is more to fill out that a normal VRBO. But the company was very nice and helpful. Make sure you read all of the information prior to getting to town. Overall, the place was very nice, comfortable, and all the necessities including spices in the cabinets were helpful. It was fairly loud on the patio when large groups were down at the grills/pool area. But super quiet inside, couldn't hear a peep! Beautiful condos overall, and underground parking is nice.

Summer vacation

We absolutely loved staying here! Check in and parking was easy, nice that there are luggage carriers for use. We had a small AC issue that was resolved quickly. The grounds and pool are so nice, and the area is very quiet and peaceful. Great walking paths nearby. It’s a short drive to grocery stores and restaurants but nice that it’s a quiet area. We would definitely return!

Great Location

Steps to the wild horse gondola. Skiing couldn’t have been easier. Condo is great. We would gladly stay again. Pool and hot tubs are nice. Note that they are community use, not just for TrailsEnd Lodge. Doesn’t seem that way based on the location but they are. Must be really crowded on busy weeks. Only other oddity is getting the keys in the mail ahead of time. Feels weird in 2025, but it works. Just so used to key codes on rentals.

Great stay and location

Excellent unit that is very close to gondola that takes you to base of mountain. Ski, pole storage and boot driers was a great extra. Nice view from balcony. A few of the issues we had were taken care of in a timely manner! Covered parking was nice. Nice hot shower and close to anything u might need. We will be rebooking for sure!

Great condo, challenging key situation

Great condo, well stocked. Excellent, comfortable pull out beds. Great location. Excellent amenities. They choose to snail mail your electronic key to your home address prior to coming, which caused some stress as it arrived the day we were flying. Then there are only 2 keys in the condo
for a family of 5 skiers, more keys would be helpful because you can’t move independently without your own key because you need the key to operate the elevator or enter the building
I asked for more keys and they said they would deliver but never did. Small annoyance, but we’ve stayed at other Trailheads and never had this problem.

Lovely condo in Steamboat

We were very pleased with the penthouse condo at Trailhead Lodge. The space was nice and very well appointed. We had a lovely view from the balcony. We were not there to ski but if you were the Gondola is super convenient. We had a very minor issue (tv clicker needed new batteries) that was addressed in a very short time. We would love to return

Great Steamboat property and location

My wife and I spent 4 nights in this property in September visiting Steamboat Springs and the surrounding area. The building was in main ski area of Steamboat, a very short drive to stores for all kinds of supplies and also a short drive to downtown Steamboat. The area was quiet. The unit was as described: clean, well provisioned, up to date, and with all the amenities needed to make one feel comfortable and fully at home for an extended stay. The hosts were always immediately responsive to any questions we had. We would definitely recommend this property for anyone looking to stay in the general Steamboat Springs vicinity and who prefers home living rather than hotel living.

The condo was very nice and very clean. Overall, we were comfortable and look forward to booking again. We also enjoyed the pool and outdoor balcony. The covered parking garage was a plus. Downtown was only 2.0 miles and our day trips to Steamboat Lake and Pearl Lake were scenic drives.

Short vacation

Nice area. Condo was in a perfect spot to watch the mountains each morning. The Brick restaurant next door was fabulous.
