Quiet and located close to the ocean 2 bedroom 2 bath home


Quiet location a mile from a beautiful sandy coastal beach and many scenic attractions, conveniently located in Steuben, which is close to the Bar Harbor region and the Machias area. There are many eatery's and shopping places conveniently located from 10 minutes away to 30 minutes, we are located close to the ATV Sunrise trail, which is road accessible from the cabin. We tend to have many deer and turkeys to watch as well when you are just sitting and enjoying your time away.

This vacation rental is also available for monthly rentals in the winter months

We had a lovely time visiting coastal Maine with this property in Steuben as our home base. The cabin was spotlessly clean and very well appointed with furnishings. Kitchen was great and we could even do our vacation laundry! Our dog had a safe place to walk in the backyard and down the quiet road, and we visited Roger’s point close by to take her to a local beach. Tunk Joy bakery nearby was such a treat. Our host Vicki was excellent and so responsive to our questions, and she even fixed a small snafu with the TV right away. It’s great having a local host! Thanks so much for a super experience!

We absolutely loved our stay at this wonderful gem of a cabin! It was perfect for our family vacation to mostly explore Acadia (both Schoodic and Mt Desert) but also the many other beautiful spots near and in Steuben (including the lovely beach down the road where our kids and dog played for hours). The owners of the property are extremely communicative and helpful and we are so grateful we stayed at Rustic Pines for our vacation to Maine! It is beautiful decorated, spotless, and has everything one could need to relax and unwind. We definitely highly recommend staying here!

Great place!

We really enjoyed our stay! The cabin was the perfect place to unwind and relax after a day of exploring Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. The hosts were easy to get ahold of and the cabin was clean and well stocked!

This is a lovely spot - clean, quiet, delightfully decorated. Steuben is a good location for exploring - and the Saturday brunch at Tunkjoy Bakery is wonderful.

Beautiful location and property to enjoy with the family.

Completely enjoyed our stay at the property. Good location and it's close to Bar harbor and other scenic places to visit. The owners were wonderful and the communication was seamless. Definitely recommend this property.

Our first visit to maine

We had a great time, beautiful house! Everything we needed was there! You are about a hour from bar harbor , and most of the things to do are by there, so plan to do most of your things when you go. Definitely go to donnell beach, beautiful and well worth it. If you go to acadia park bring a suit. Beautiful sand beach or swimming of the rocks! The house was beautiful, comfy and decorated adorable!

A Hidden Gem Near Acadia

My mom and I did a girls trip over labor day weekend and really enjoyed our stay at the Rustic Pines Cabin. It was easy to get to, not far off US Route 1. The cabin is located on a quite peaceful lot surrounded by woods. The cabin itself was beautiful and sparkling clean!! It was so nice to be greeted by a lovely welcome note from the hosts with a bottle of local wine after a long drive. Kitchen was functional, beds were comfy and the bathrooms were modern and spacious. My dog who traveled with us also felt very comfortable in the cabin. She also really loved the raised food/water bowls the hosts left out for 4 legged friends. The hosts also had a guide to the area which was helpful as we had never traveled to Downeast Maine before. It was only about an hour from Acadia National Park but if you stay here read the host guide as there are many other things to do in the area that are worth the detour. We plan to come back to the area sometime in the future and would definitely stay here again.

Comfy Cabin/modern conveniences

This cabin may be rustic on the outside, but when you open the door it’s nicely decorated with a wilderness theme. It has a large modern kitchen, 2 good sized bedrooms (1 w/a master bath) and a comfortable living room. The outside deck was great to relax on after hiking many trails! Overall a quiet place to stay in an awesome location to explore the coast of Maine!

Coming home

Absolutely what we wanted!! Close to everywhere we wanted to go. I was able to reconnect with childhood friends and enjoy lobster and all our favorite seafood dishes. The cabin was great! Coastal Wedding Vibes

Came up to babysit our grandchild while our daughter and her husband went to a wedding. This property is very inviting, cozy and accommodating. Only bad thing was the fact that the beach area near us was closed off due to erosion. Plenty of other areas to drive though such as Scoodic Point!

The Rustic Cabin in Steuben, ME

Great comfy cabin

This was a terrific cabin that had everything you could need, was spacious, and was siper clean. The hosts left a nice bottle of wine and a great book on the cabin and area - overall a really nice place!

Overall, it was excellent. We place a premium on cleanliness and the hosts delivered! It had everything we needed. Appreciated the directions/menus to local sites. Chipmans Wharf was awesome! The rooms were roomy, the kitchen fully equipped. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this property. It is a bit secluded but otherwise excellent overall!
