Lots of Kinks with New Hotel

We’ve had good luck at Holiday Inn Express hotels in the past, and this was a brand new hotel. The pool water was green and cloudy and only open once. We were not given the king bed/pullout sofa we reserved. The hotel ran out of toilet paper/tissue, so we had to go to Meijer to buy some. At breakfast, they ran out of food—trash was overflowing from trash cans. Staff was very overwhelmed. I don’t think the management did their job in supporting staff and customers. Would not recommend until the kinks are worked out.

I've stayed at Holiday Inn for 50+ years the worst

They were understaffed all 3 days I was there they could not keep up with the breakfast bar coffee machine were down no food. the pool and the room the pool was in was not cleaned while I was there. Asked housekeeping for towels an hour later I had to go to the front desk to get them. $100.00 less a night would have been to much.

The staff at the front desk was not very welcoming when we checked in. When we entered our room, there was melted chocolate on the floor and crumbs all over the carpet. There was used dental floss left on the towels in the bathroom and the bottle of the body wash in the shower was empty. I had to ask multiple times for more body wash. The next morning at breakfast, the selection was minimal and what was there ran out quickly. I would not stay at this property again.

My only dissatisfaction with this new nonsmoking hotel is that upon entry to our room the bathroom smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke. I made the front desk aware immediately so I would not be billed for it. They gave me an almost spent can of fe breeze to cover up the cigarette smell.Also no catsup at the breakfast bar which could have been remedied by staff by crossing the parking lot to the next door Aldi’s to purchase some. Yes, this is a new facility learning the ropes

Not happy

Did not get much sleep in this hotel. Room above us made noise early morning both nights. I reported to staff after first night and asked to be moved to highest floor. Was told nothing else was available. Second morning I called to front desk complaining about noise going continuously early in morning. Sounded like kids jumping off beds and running in room. I asked for refund of one night's stay .Front desk said they didn't have authority. They said they would talk with manager. I have sent two emails to hotel but heard nothing.

We were giving a room that wasn’t clean. We switched rooms and the new room was not vacuumed the floors were very dirty and the there was something wet on the carpet. There was no soap in the bathroom and our lock on the door was broke. Also, the pool was shut down.

Seems like there is a staff shortage or just a general management issue. No one at the front desk, closing the breakfast hours early because they were out of food to serve. No clean towels for the pool every time we went down and everything was messy/dirty.

Pool was not well kept whatsoever. The water was dirty and so were the floors around the pool. There was sand, hair, dirt everywhere. The shower floor in our room was also visibly dirty as well as the bathroom mirror and window/windowsill. The body wash was empty in our room, and go figure. It’s the only thing I forgot. It’s in a convenient area as it’s off of the highway and near some small businesses. Staff was extremely kind and welcoming.

Never again ,, save your money go somewhere else.

I was looking forward to this trip with my family, and it was very disappointing to stay at a hotel that was relatively newly established. The hotel was very understaffed when we checked in at 4 o’clock on a Sunday there was one desk agent, and one housekeeper that condition of the whole hotel was dirty floors were dirty. Food dropped on them. There was ants Other bugs in the elevator. One of the bathrooms downstairs was out of order as far as the rooms the linen I had on my bed was dirty coming into the room. There was marks and handprints and stuff all over the window when you opened up the blinds the following day they have Free breakfast for you. They had nothing they had serial no milk. They had only egg whites. They had nothing else. Coffee was limited. It was very disappointing. We needed bedding for an additional bed we had in the room we called. The phone didn’t work. Went down. Talk to the one agent. She was writing stuff down on paper to For other guests as well whose rooms weren’t ready when they were checking in as well as the items never coming to the room we had to call again and still never came and finally on the third time we had to call the main hotel line from our cell phones to finally get a hold of the desk comes the day before we were supposed to be checking out and I get a call on my cell phone telling me that I was supposed to have been checked out that day and I was like no i am paid up for another nite the manger Krista was dismissive disrespectfu

I gave this hotel 2 stars instead of one because the room itself was quiet, nice and comfortable. That was the only good thing. Honestly the worst hotel I’ve ever been to. Front desk was rude and didn’t know what they were doing. Upon check in, which we arrived right on time, the young man at the desk said “your rooms not ready.” And sent us away. We came back half an hour later, still didn’t have the room clean. It was about 2 hours past check in time that we finally got into our room. They didn’t have much at breakfast. No milk, no spoons, no yogurt, hardly anything they were supposed to have. The sausage was white in color, and the eggs were just egg whites scrambled. The pancake machine was malfunctioning. We got locked out of our room on the third day, and was told to wait in line behind 20 other people waiting in the lobby to check in. I had to really push to get her to just quickly scan my key card so my family (standing in the hall holding bags of takeout) could get in the room. It took two seconds. The lobby men’s room was out of service, one of the elevators didn’t work, the side doors were supposed to be locked but were propped open with a rock, very few of the desk people even seemed willing to help people have a good experience. Every time you walked by the front desk somebody was complaining about something and staff was saying I can’t help you. I don’t know if there was any manager. Would never stay here or any holiday inn again. First and last time.

4th of July Stay

Everyone was very friendly and wanted to ensure we had a wonderful stay. Check in and check out was easy. The breakfast was great and the cleaning staff was very accommodating.

Disappointed

Room was clean but the service was horrible. They ran out of towels so we had to share towels. No milk and bacon for my kids for breakfast. They said they ran out and it was only 8:30 am.
