A well styled and comfortable hotel in the thick of things and walking distance to the old town and major sites. Breakfast looked chaotic so we never dined here, staff were polite but with such a big hotel not too invested at a personal level One specific thing for noting / No air con in the rooms making it stuffy and hard to sleep. Discussed with staff three times - a small fan was supplied which made little difference - important for other travellers to consider if travelling in summer.

The 'camper' vibe is fun, nice lobby, bar and common area. And the roof bar is beautiful. Location is great, walking distance to Stamla Gan and central Stockholm cites, metro, and transit. We got a family room with a full bed and bunk bed. At first, we were disappointed that it was in the basement with no windows. But it turned out that was helpful to get us to adjust to the time zone after jet lag! But be aware there are windowless basement rooms, and make your request accordingly.

Everyone was really nice, the room was clean but it was a HOT room. The hotel was like staying over the campfire, not around it. WHEW the rooms were so warm and you can only open the windows so far. Fans helped a bit, but really warm in summer time, especially in the higher floors. Amazing Front Desks staff! Really kind.

Great hotel with fabulous staff, very happy and helpful. Hotel has a camper theme with fire pits and decor, makes it different and gives it a great feel. They also have daily activities, Lyn lead ours on Midsummer Eve and it was very enjoyable, definitely the right person for the role! Made it so much more than just a hotel stay. Add that too it’s location, the excellent breakfast and a table tennis table on each floor and the roof top bar and spa. It was great to be there enjoy the experience.

The Downtown Camper by Scandic was convenient to get to and convenient for area attractions. It had a very inviting vibe and the staff was welcoming. There were congregating areas through-out the establishment. We enjoyed both outside dining and the rooftop bar (the nest) while we were visiting. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend.

Honestly, I enjoyed the hotel's vibe and amenities, but we were given a room on the lower level with no windows—basically a dungeon. Who wants to stay in a dark place for days during a holiday??
