Best Western Manteca (2025_Sep)

Based on my overnight stay (Sep_2025) it would be difficult to recommend this hotel (Best Western Manteca, CA) to almost anyone. The facility has seen better days. Check-in (booked well in advance) was unusually confrontational for no apparent reason. The room was clean but substandard. The noisy AC unit was ear-plug friendly. Their main clientele appears to be on-the-road construction workers. The exercise room (next to the pool) was modest, but had a good weight machine. Breakfast buffet was good. Check-out was not a problem, but seemed more like an escape. {note: email from facility indicate proprietor has not charged for the 1 night stay. }

The room did its job for us- a place to lay our head. However, being next to the interstate and busy Yosemite Ave caused some disturbing nights with sirens multiple times throughout the night and the loud pipes on cars/trucks who seem to rev up at any time through the night. Another inconvenience is the deactivation of the key card. We were told to not put it near other cards, keys, etc. Sony take is the the guests has the responsibility instead of the hotel just investing in better key cards as we have only had this issue here. Otherwise, we stuck it out and tried to enjoy our visit. It wasn’t terrible.

Always stay in this hotel but this last time I stay customer service was really rude especially this lady . When I was checking in I mentioned to the gentleman I wanted my room to be clean because I booked for two days and he mentioned yes don’t worry he will put on the list to be cleaned and I believe he was the manager he was really nice and Everytime I checked in he always there . So the next day I got out of work I stop by to get dinner because was not feeling well I just want to come back to my room so my room key was not working so I left my bags by the door so I can fix it so I mentioned to her this be happening to key that next day is not working and she was so rude well this what happen when they next to your phone or credit card I told her I didn’t have it near any electricity device or my card but I ignored her being so rude so I came back to my room and noticed my room is not clean and there’s was my trash full so I call front desk she answered and she said she didn’t know she will call me back so I wait maybe after 10 min she call back saying the only had one person clean the room and he can clean tomorrow I told her what’s the point of him cleaning tomorrow if I’m gonna check out she was so rude and I told her I just need my trash to be thrown away and get fresh clean towels. She didn’t even apologize she didn’t care and I told her this the last time I will stay here she didn’t care . So the guest service guy came really nice and apologized
