Book this last September for two days. We had no hot water, we told the front desk and the staff said they were waiting for parts. We asked for a different room and we're told they were full. Staff said what do you want us to do. I asked for a refund and they got belligerent. After taking to the manager I was able to get the second day refunded and we left.

I cannot think of anything that stands out about this property. It would seem to fit in the $80/night category rather than well over $100 that my wife and I paid for a room with one king bed. The toilet was loose on its base, rocking back when we sat on it, the “gym” was a motel room with a tv and elliptical that didn’t work, the treadmills did work, if you like fast food restaurants, you will be happy with the limited offerings. Or, you can drive on - or back - to Ames for a better selection.

The breakfasts were quite good. The problem is the distance. No uber or Lyft.
The shower water was. Cold and had poor pressure.
The staff was exceptional. But they have to work with trying conditions.
