Easy walk to theatres etc. Good large pool. Room decor getting a bit tired and tatty now

The hotel is rather dated and needs a but of investment, i have stayed in many historic hotels which are great but this seems to be stuck inbetween the 2 and for me doesn't work.
The staff were all amazing and breakfast was very nice but the decor and rooms left a lot to the imagination. Also had issues with the computers to register the car and the shower gel and shampoo bottles were empty in the bathroom

Publié le 17 mars 2024 sur HotelsWhat a pleasant stay! The Manor is a beautiful 16th century building, well maintained and comfortable. It is located an 8 min walk away from the town’s many attractions, set in lovely grounds with ample parking.
The staff and service were friendly , helpful and efficient and the restaurant served lovely food both at breakfast and at dinner. The restaurant itself is atmospheric and cleverly adapted to link to the extended area of the historic structure.
We stayed in the coach house , adjoined to the main manor and it was beamed and v quaint, with its own car park. The room was one grade up and well worth the extra charge.
My only criticism is the £7 overnight parking fee. Even Guest houses in town don’t charge and their spaces are v limited. A small but irritating detail in what was otherwise a perfect stay.
