It’s under refurbishing condition. The entryway is very nice. The bathroom was not good. No stopper for tub or any way to hold the water. If you choose to use the shower you will not have any water pressure. Breakfast was terrible. Very little choice and no one to help. Microwave did not work. I don’t think I will go back there.

Property had non flushing toilets with no running water. Hotel was practically empty but they put very noisy family overhead. Management gave away my accessible reservation to another member of my party, so bed was way too high and shower (when water came on next morning) not safe. Was afraid to make coffee because they couldn’t promise water was safe for drinking. Breakfast did not exist. Manager was rude and refused to help or partially refund in anyway. Worst motel I’ve ever experienced, and no help from Expedia either.

They have done updates to the lobby which is a nice touch. Restaurants are within walking distance.

The refridge did not work. Staff was not pleasant when i checked in. Breakfast was minimal with no waffles or fruit. Gluten free or keto options were nil. The desk chair was ripped and you did not dare lean back in it or would be on the floor. At least the beds were nice and it was clean.

The room seem to have been recently redone and were okay. The bathroom layout and lighting is horrible. The AC/Heater did not work the entire time I was there and couldn't find anyone on site to talk to. The emergency doors at each end were "closed" and wired to the wall which was mildly disconcerting. If you are going to stay in Sulphur pay the extra $10 - $15 and stay at the Artesian.

This was the worst experience in any type of motel anywhere that I have ever experienced. Woman checking me in did not mention there was no water and no indication of when it would be restored - until after charging my credit card and handing me the key. That meant NO FLUSHING TOILETS (so the room stank) OR DRINKING WATER ALL NIGHT AND NOWHERE ELSE TO GO SINCE MOST OTHER CUSTOMERS HAD ALREADY FOUND OTHER ACCOMMODATIONS. MOD was completely unhelpful and refused to refund or call a superior about getting my money back or relocating us. Breakfast was supposed to be until 9, but door was locked and would not open with key at 8:45. Only coffee was in room made with melted ice from a drink I’d saved from dinner. I was terrified to drink water when it was finally restored. And, despite motel being mostly empty they put someone just above our room who stomped around making noise until 11pm. I will not stay at another Super 8. I’ve traveled the world, and this was more disgusting than any experience anywhere.
