Perfect Location
Publié le 10 oct. 2023 sur HomeAwayWe loved our stay in your cabin. For those visiting all the surrounding tourist spots, it’s a great centralized location. We’ve already visited all of them during past visits to South Dakota and Wyoming, but loved how we were close to a lot of trails, and had the option to go back to Spearfish Canyon. We really enjoyed spending time in the Black Hills National Forest and the trails. The cabin has so much character and charm. Well stocked with all your needs. Gives you a definite western feel. Also nice to be secluded but close enough to the sights. Enjoyed the quieter location. If you take the time to look around, you’ll see pronghorns, mule deer, and whitetail deer. Loved the white-crowned sparrows that live in the bushes surrounding the cabin. We were fortunate to see sandhill cranes fly over as they migrated south. Take a trip to Devils Tower! We have seen eagles on our way on two different trips. This time we saw three eagles, magpies, and crows in one field. Also, stop by the antique store in Aladdin. Don’t forget to go to Custer State Park too. Other suggestions: drive to Warren Peak Lookout Tower, hike the Carson Draw Trail (it is beautiful), and visit the actual town of Sundance. There is a thrift shop there that helps the senior citizens. Very organized and I found name brand items. There is a consignment shop called the Anomaly Boutique in Sundance that has very nice clothing for men and women. Loved our stay and made lots of good memories! Thanks, Jay!

Beautiful Wyoming Property !

The owner Jay was fantastic and keeps his cabin neatly decorated and clean. He was also professional and prompt in handling a technical glitch in the system.
The sunsets and sunrises are fabulous at this location and is a easy drive off the interstate exit, and we had fun exploring the town of Sundance and the surrounding areas !

Peaceful nights

Filthy Cabin/Outdated Photos/Rude Owner
Publié le 1 sept. 2023 sur HomeAwayWe started with a 3 day reservation here. We left within 30 minutes of arriving due to the filth of this cabin and went to a nearby hotel for our trip. The cabin was inundated with flies. We killed many within the 30 minutes that we were there. There were clumps of hair in the master bed and in the bathroom sink. There were blood stains on the sheets of the master bed. The pillows were stained and very old. There was old and outdated food not only in the refrigerator but also in a chest freezer that sits in the tv area. The cleanliness overall was terrible! The repaired new wood of the picture of the porch is now rotted. Yard is not kept up and clean. There is a rotted couch near the bush where the parking is. There is now a garage built where the "view" of the hill is with wildlife shown in the listing. The photos on this listing are very old and need to be updated for accuracy for those wishing to stay. I contacted the owner when we left the property to let him know we would like to cancel the rest of our trip due to the filth and he was extremely rude. I would urge anyone staying at this property to take pictures for your VRBO complaint and to understand the owner is less then pleasurable to deal with.

I have had nothing but amazing reviews at my cabin as it sits at 4.9 stars my guest book is full of repeat vacationers that have left me amazing reviews. Some people cannot be pleased and maybe should not choose a rustic log cabin. Thank you!! Also most of the accusations that you listed are not true.
As far as your comment about the yard being unkept. I do not mow the one area on purpose because of all the mountain wildflowers the girl here in Wyoming that supply the bees with food! Perhaps you should stay where there’s concrete at the Hilton instead of out here in the west in Ranch country! Thank you for considering it. However, you are not welcome back!

Very clean cabin , Jay did a great job remodeling the old cabin.
The gas BBQ was so nice to cook steaks dinners and we would of cooked fresh tout but we got skunked.
