Ricketts Glen Stay

We were pleasantly greeted by our host and she showed us our room and explained to us, what to expect during our stay.
Clay was very knowledgeable about the area, pointing out places to eat and how to reach all the hiking trails. She was a very good conversationalist. We had wonderful conversations about our lives, family and friends.
We spent most of our time hiking, sight-seeing all the waterfalls, covered bridges and all the beautiful creations of God.
After a long day of hiking, we knew there would be a comfortable bed waiting for us and a delicious breakfast in the morning.
We stayed (3) nights. Our stay was a very relaxing. A much needed time to clear our minds.
We found all the people, either on the trails, in the restaurants and especially our host to be very friendly.

Weekend hike

Cottage in the Woods is a gem
Posted Apr. 13, 2024 on HomeAwayStaying at the Cottage in the Woods was wonderful. It was a nice retreat after hiking the Glen. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming, the property was inviting, the room was super cozy, and breakfast was delicious. We would stay there again!

Weekend retreat
Posted Nov. 25, 2023 on HomeAwayThe whole w perience was great, from the accommodations to the hosts. The hosts were amazing and we have never seen anyone go above and beyond as this couple did. Not only to us but their other guests. Breakfasts were great and they always had a fire ready for us to light in the outdoor fireplace to sit and u wind at night with their house cat coming to sit on our lap. Great place to go if you are looking for a quiet weekend and enjoy a little of hiking.

Excellent Cottage
