Unique apartment for finishes and location, luxuriously furnished at the entrance of Piazza DUOMO in ORTIGIA, in the historic center, Via Landolina 19.
The apartment is structured in 3 large main areas: the two bedrooms with private bathroom and emotional shower located in the wings of the apartment, and spacious living room dining room in the central body.
The entire building is very bright, and is located on the first floor of a historic building in Ortigia, with private entrance, four balconies and private terrace.
The bedrooms are spacious, one overlooks the famous Via Landolina, the other has a terrace overlooking an internal courtyard where you can see the side facade of the historic Chiesa del Collegio. Each room has its own bathroom, these are very large, with an emotional shower, so you can relax after the intense day spent around the beauties of the city. The living area kitchen is an open space that consists of a new fully equipped and equipped kitchen, a living room with sofa bed, dining table and TV. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning / heating and FREE Wifi connection in the entire structure. The accommodation is fully equipped with crockery, linen, detergents, etc., also has a laundry with washing machine. The apartment is very comfortable for long stays.

We are a couple and stayed 5 nights in Ortigia. Apartment is perfectly located within the heart of Ortigia. Two very large bedrooms and two bathrooms plus kitchen/lounge/dining area. Restaurants/bars/snack foods and shopping on your doorstep and in all directions.An easy 20 minute walk with bags from the train station. We contacted the agent for a few minor issues which were resolved immediately. We would hope that in future, the apartment will be equipped with a drying rack for the clothes as this was the only item lacking.

Heart of the city

What a superb apartment - tasteful decor, spacious, located in excellent spot, and great communication with host. Host was super helpful with parking arrangements, suggestions for activities and aided us when we needed a later checkout when a family member was not feeling well. We loved this place!

Superb location and beautiful apartment

We loved our stay. The apartment is exquisite, and right in the middle of an historic, fun neighborhood. It’s on a corner of two pedestrian streets, and although it’s busy, it’s quiet with the windows closed. We would definitely stay there again. So many restaurants and cool shops and street vendors. Don’t miss the Fish House Art Gallery a block away. And we loved the boat ride around the island.

This was a terrific choice. Location was ideal for everything you could want: short walk to supermarket, adjacent to Piazza Archimedes and very good cafe for morning espresso and cornetto ritual. Farmers market a 5-10 minutes walk, piazza Duomo was 2 minutes away. We walked a great deal around the Ortigia area. While few remnants of antiquity the town has plenty of interesting buildings. The archeological park on the mainland is very impressive and within long walk distance. Via Umberto 1 has a long run of restaurants of which Agape is no 1. The ortigia area is loaded w good places to eat..one of which is adjacent to the apartment. This is our 5th visit to Siracusa over 20 plus years and all have been great fun. The apartment is very comfortable. The showers were a special treat. Having built 2 myself I could appreciate the plumbing and shower layout. Both bedrooms are nicely furnished. The fornello (electric stove top) requires a bit of getting used to but once that is accomplished…it’s fun to use. Kitchen and living room are single unit. My wife thought them a bit pushed together but warmed to them as our 2 week stay went forward. About the only thing the kitchen lacked was a microwave. Overall this was the best place we have rented. We were lucky,too, in the sense that late winter is off season so the number of tourists was limited but the weather was quite agreeable, agent was very helpful.

Great Location

This is a lovely apartment in the heart of Ortigia. We were met by the Property Manager who helped us to find the local parking garage and showed us the property and gave us some local recommendations. The common area is quite small but perfect for friends travelling together as the bedrooms are on each side of the common area so it gives you privacy. We were there on a holiday weekend so it was a little noisy but I would definitely book again.

Lovely apartment! The location couldn’t have been better for walking out the door and being the middle of walking streets. This is an old building but the owner has updated the interior. The beds are ok, a bit hard if you are use to soft beds. There are 15 stairs up. The kitchen has pots and pans, a nice coffee maker but note NO forks or knives.

Perfect location

This is a perfect apartment for travelers. It is ideally located off the main piazza in Ortigia, convenient to walking everywhere in Ortigia and close to pick up points for Taxi and Uber to explore Syracuse. The apartment is clean, bathrooms modern and each room opens to the streets below for morning coffee or enjoying the sounds of the city. The host arranged a lock-box for us because we weren't sure when we would arrive and it worked perfectly. The beds were comfortable with temperature control in each room. We didn't have to walk more than a block to find great food and warm friendly hosts. One of our favorites is right under the apartment.

The location was central making exploring easy but one of the bedrooms over looked the main street and was noisy. There was no hot water until early evening which was a big problem and then it had gone by 10pm.

Heaven!

This apt is exactly as pictured in the photographs, and the location could not be more perfect. Just to know, one bedroom is quiet, but you do hear noises from the street in the second bedroom. But the apt is beautiful as is Ortigia, so who cares! The rental agent was also wonderful. Very welcoming, helpful, and quick to respond to any questions. I do hope to return, so I hope this great review does not mean the apt will not be available next year for me!

Literally 20 steps from Piazza Archimede and about 50 steps from the Duomo. We walked everywhere. Great Restaurants, Ice cream stores, cafes... everything. It gets a little noisy at night. It was ok with us. I could have given 5 stars if the WiFi stopped working the night before leaving and one of the AC started leaking. I’m sure they fixed everything right after we left. Overall a great place and I recommend it.

Gorgeous apartment in the middle of lovely Ortigia

This is a very nicely appointed apartment situated in the middle of the tourist area of Ortigia. That said, it wasn't too loud with the windows closed. The apartment is great. Up one flight of steps and you're there. The two bedrooms are beautiful, each with a large bathroom. The kitchen/living area is where we hung out. We had two small issues - a blown fuse and no hot water - which were easily fixed with a phone call to the host (though the hot water heater has quite a small tank. If you're 4 people showering at the same time, take short showers!!). Overall, we loved it and hope to be back one day.

A fabulous apartment

My husband and I so enjoyed our stay in Ortegia. Thanks to this wonderful apartment in the middle of a charming area with two balconies to enjoy the hum of passersby’s on a pedestrian only street. (it does get to be a little bit noisy as it is a pedestrian street, but unlike other cities, it quiets down at a reasonable hour of the evening. ) The apartment was very comfortable with 2 large bedrooms, comfortable kitchen/ living area and… 2 unbelievable showers!!! Everything was within walking distance to restaurants, coffee shops, patisseries, and an amazing Duomo in the impressive city square. We ate at the little restaurant under us called “A Putia di Gingio” where we happened to chat with two other couples near us from other countries. We became fast friends and met up with them the next few days. I cannot say enough of how wonderful this apartment, Ortegia, and its people are. We will definitely come back soon.

Petit séjour à SYRACUSE

L'appartement est superbe , bien agencé , chaque chambre avec son sanitaire complet est très appréciable. Au coeur du centre historique ( Ortigia est magnifique ) , tout est à proximité , nous avons passé un excellent séjour. Le seul petit bémol , il y a des travaux de rénovation de bâtiments tout prés de la chambre donnant sur la rue et le matin les ouvriers commencent un peu trop tôt . Emilia nous a très bien accueillis , elle nous a donné quelques conseils pratiques et nous la remercions vivement

June 2022 stay

The unit is located in a pedestrian only area. Once we met up with Emilia, she walked us to the apartment and then walked with us to where we had left the car and showed us where to find parking for our car. She was also available to answer our questions. One caution to light sleepers. This unit is in a very active pedestrian area. At night, there was music playing and plenty of street noise that could be heard from the one bedroom. The one other issue was the mold growing on the walls and ceiling above the shower in the one bedroom. These are 12-15 foot ceilings but anyone sensitive to mold may have a problem. Despite these issues, we had a great time in Ortigia.
