City Lake - well worth the stay

Friendly and attentive staff. Very quick to remedy concerns and help answer local questions. The bed was pretty firm, but not everyone likes really soft.

A no-frills, friendly hotel with nice staff.

The staff is very nice. The facilities are tired and need rejuvenation. Located 2 minutes walk from the subway to can connect you to large swaths of the city. Some good (though not fancy) eating places close by.

This is a decent place to stay. Nothing special about it but no problems either. Decor is very neutral and rooms are plain and simple but clean. Its location is a bit off the beaten path but public transportation and subway are very accessible. If you are looking for something simple and clean where you can save a bit, it's a decent place.

Nice, Clean and Quiet hotel, next to a subway stop

I picked this hotel because it was close to my parents' condo, and it turned out pretty good. We stayed there for 5 nights. They thought about almost everything for our stay. - it was quiet and right next to a subway stop( MRT stop is what they call here) . - the rooms were actually larger than we thought. We tried their standard room and delux king room. Their photos on the web site didn't tell what the rooms really looked like. I think they could do a better job on that. - very decent breakfast: automatic coffee machine that makes fresh coffee from grinding whole beans to a fresh cup of cofee; cooks onsite to make fresh fried eggs to your selection, and very nice bread. - laundry room at the top of the building: they got washers and dryers in the hotel for people to do laundry for free, and they even provided free detergent (powder). - We found a ice cream place (Swensens) very close by to get our Ice cream fix :)

Stay here for 5 nights for a business trip at Nangang Software Park. Overall comment: Great but can be better. Breakfast varieties limited. Very near to train station.

It's a good to have an opportunity to try City Lake and have an excellent come out.

ok for the price but room smelly and unstable wifi

Hotel is ok in the locality (Neihu area) as there are not too many choices. Hotel quite old and room smelly and I have to open the window to let fresh air in. Wifi not stable and not working even though hotel staff tried to reset many times.

Staff disorganized

Wife and I stayed two nights. I checked out to return home and wife stayed another day. Also asked for single room for three nights later in the week so she could travel south. Lady at front desk assured her the three nights were reserved. When my wife checked out the next day and asked about the room, she was told it was not available. Only a much larger and much more expensive room was available. Also the single room she stayed in was on the second floor, much street noise, and she did not feel safe because of windows which opened easily from a balcony which could be reached from the ground.

Located about 2 km from convention centre. About 35 minutes by metro to downtown. Metro stop about 2 minute walk. Room is okay. Free self serve laundry which helped on my trip. Understand why others have complained about the breakfast. For someone like me who just wants a bagel and coffee, it was fine Not likely to recommend but if you are on a budget then ...

Excellent hotel.

An excellent hotel. Comfortable room, extremely helpful staff. Very handy for the metro. Only downside was the wifi access, which was painfully slow and very patchy. This really needs sorting out. Nevertheless, would definitely stay there again. Recommended.
