Really love the hotel

The hotel lobby has a classy feeling about it. My wife and I felt very comfortable entering the hotel lobby. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was good and clean. Good location for us so much so that we decide to return there at the end of our trip and stay there for two more evenings.

Excellent place to stay

The hotel is two blocks away from the subway station and two or three streets from NingXia night market. The staff was very friendly. They let us leave luggage at the hotel before checking in hours and when taking a four-day trip to Taichung. The room and bedding was clean. The bed is slightly on the hard side. The breakfast buffet was one of the best I have ever had. I will definitely stay here again when traveling to Taipei.

This is a nice place for myself who is in taipei for a night. They are accommodating that I can store luggage both before and after checkout.

Warm and welcome old hotel

The hotel has a great location near the pier 2 area, the light railway and MRT system, you can access the whole major attractions without any hassle. The one thing need to be aware is the hotel is very old, the facility is also old, such as dragging sound when closing the door for each room. And we had a bad luck that the people next to our door love to talk in a loud sound until midnight, but the hotel help to "mute" them in seconds. So overall is good and fit for the price.

Staff was very friendly and helpful however there are 2 things need to improve asap. 1 : buffet breakfast - it's so bad that I rather choose not to eat it even when it's included in my package. Choice of food in the buffet is so little with bad choices. 2: toiletries - it's not replenish everyday at all. Everyday there will be missing items.

Nice hotel close to subway

Hotel room is big, facility and price is good with breakfast. Around 8 minutes walk to subway, has a supper market and restaurants in a plaza just right on the street opposite of the hotel. Close to one of the famous night market. The only thing to complain is the bed is too hard. So far everything is very good, we will recommend to friends.

Wonderful and comfortable hotel

The location of this hotel is near to Da qiao tou station and near to ningxia nightmarket, carefour supermarket is just opposit the hotel, very convenient. The staff are understanding and friendly. The room is very comfortable and clean. While the breakfast buffet selection was limited. Will go back again.

Hotel exceeded expectations in Taipei

The Taipei City Hotel was excellent. We had a family room with three beds (which looked slightly larger than average twin size beds. The room was very large with a sitting area with a sofa, two chairs and a coffee table. There were also two wide screen tv's . The bathroom was luxurious, with a large shower, separate tub and washlet toilet. We had large thick towels and various amenities. Everything was spotless and inviting. The buffet breakfast was included. It consisted of mainly Taiwanese choices which was understandable as we were in Taiwan. We were able to find plenty of dishes we liked and certainly had plenty of food. The staff at the hotel were pleasant and accommodating. There is a large Carrefour store right across the street and the closest metro station is an easy 10 minute walk. We were very happy with our choice of the Taipei City Hotel and would certainly stay there again.

Wonderful and Thumbs up Hotel like 5 Star!

Taipei City Hotel is comfortably and an affordable Hotel to stay where majority people will agreed with me for a good safe stay in the heart of Taipei City. Opposite of the hotel is a big Carrefour shopping centre, 2 x night markets for local food located quite nearby(walking distance-5-10 mins). Sure to come back to Taipei City Hotel if I coming for next visit in Taipei!
